This place is a terrific stay on a lower budget! The rooms are clean, and the views are 5 * as the more expensive stays in the area. Staff are welcoming and friendly. The fire pits are wood burning! They have bbq's available for your personal grilling experience. Many people took advantage of the bike rentals on site. If you enjoy walking, there are some trails within 2k, or you can drive and park.

Some things need to be updated on the Rundle Mountain lodge web site and the promotional sites: The facility no longer boasts a hot tub. There is only one pool indoors. There is an early check-in fee of 10$ per hr plus taxes if you're there before 4 pm. Also, they only go in rooms to freshen towels and take garbage, etc. Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. This means if you need ore towels or garbage removed, you need to ask the front office. It's not a problem at all. The staff will gladly exchange your towels at the front desk. Our last morning, there was a sewer smell when in the bathroom. This is typical for older buildings.

There was no breakfast. Location was good. We loved this little blast from the past, spacious 2-room suites at a great price, heated floors friendly staff, free popcorn. Staff was super friendly and owner made effort to meet our needs. We loved being able to open our windows for fresh air when sleeping. Having a table and chairs available to us in the fireside area above reception was super helpful for our 3 families.

Skiers need hot tubs! Reception was posted to open at 8:00 am but was still closed when we left at 8:30. It meant we couldn't get hot water for our tea. Lots of stair climbing to get to our room. We knew this in advance and I believe this may be why we got such a great price for our stay.

We had room13 which is upstairs. We didn't get much noise from neighbours, no one above us. The accommodation is made from wood. Walls are probably about 4 inches thick. The accommodation was big enough for our needs consisting of an L shaped room that housed the large bed and a round table for meals. Outside there were firepits and barbeque areas, but the rain sort of put us off using those. There is also an indoor swimming pool in a separate building that we didn't really have time to use. Good location - not too far from Banff.

Rear window frame is cracked and falling apart. Difficult to close. The accommodation looks in need of an update - but was serviceable.

Checkin and checkout went smoothly. Thankful for the friendly receptionist who lent me her own charger for my phone. The pool is small but we had it all to ourselves so we had fun. I wasn't expecting there would be lots of TV channels available so that's a plus.Good location, with some nice food options nearby. The heater was broken during our stay so we had some compensation/refund. Overall value for money.

We were at the ground floor and we can hear the footsteps of the people upstairs. Should be fine during daytime but they were walking around at midnight and early morning. Also, the shower/tub seemed clogged so our baths felt rushed to avoid flooding.

I loved the rustic style cabin and the friendly staff. They kept me informed about check-in situations as I was arriving. The entire stay was comfortable. The check-out process was also smooth; I just had to slide my keys through the designated key slot.

I’d have to nitpick to talk about what I didn’t like, and there were only two parts. Firstly, that there’s no staff after 10 PM is a bit odd from my experience. I managed to get there on time to check in, but just barely. Secondly, the TV didn’t work, although I didn’t prioritize watching it. That’s all.

Great spot in Canmore with a convenient location near the Banff exit. It's ideal for exploring the lakes, visiting Banff, or simply enjoying the charming town of Canmore. The place offers bike rentals, board games, and more, plus it has a small pool for relaxing. The rooms are cozy, compact, and comfortable, offering excellent value for the price. Each room also comes with a coffee machine, which is a nice touch.

There was a bit of noise from neighboring rooms due to the thin walls.

I loved the friendly staff, especially Ryu, who went above and beyond to make sure That we had everything we needed. After reading all the reviews, I was a little nervous, but this hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. Everything is clean and comfortable. Our room was the Jacuzzi suite and it was very nice. Yes, the whole place is not completely updated but definitely worth the price And probably the best value in the area.

Bed and mattress could have been updated, but they worked fine

Our room was spacious and super clean, and the beds were comfortable, there were all the necessary utensils and dishes. The laundry room was also beneficial.

The room had a huge TV set, cable box, and two remote controls but nothing worked. The receptionist lady was willing to help us but unfortunately couldn't solve the problem, and nobody came the next day to fix it. This part of our stay was important to us. Also, there is no armchair to sit comfortably, The iron chairs are cold and tough to sit in long.

Older property being slowly renovated by new manager and her handyman brother. Chosen to be within reach of Downtown and quiet (from roads and rail) and our ensuite room in the top corner delivered this + view of the Three Sisters. The staff were very helpful - the handyman gave us his own portable a/c unit when ours broke down; Donna, the receptionist, spent a lot of time helping us with the motel phone when our rented car broke down and the breakdown chain would not ring us back as our cell phone was not a Canadian number; her manager offered us a free night’s accommodation for the day wasted over the car breakdown (sadly this did not fit into our journey). Good sized indoor and small outdoor hot tub - latter with lovely views of 5he mountains and sunsets.

Old, dark unit - both dark brown wood stain and few lights, very few electric sockets - not all functional , and a bit rickety in general. Both the indoor and outdoor pools were rather rundown in appearance and also badly needed the windows washing. (But see above re renovations.)

Check-in was smooth. you can park in front of your room. The outdoor hot tub was well maintained as was the pool. Good water pressure and lots of hot water. Kitchenette not fancy but adequate. Great family run business

Its getting quite dated and could use some tlc in areas that are cosmetic.
