In a country where hotel breakfasts are top tier this one for me was the winner of all those we tried. It was the cakes and pastries (yes yes not an every day breakfast but hey I am in holiday so fancy cakes for breakfast, why not?! ). Luckily we were there three nights so didn't have to gorge. Tried a selection of the offerings over the three days. The bed linen was good. We had a deluxe room but we didn't have a sofa in our room so the superior would probably have been fine. At the price point I could have paid £40 more to stay in the arguably more comfortable Sand Junior Suite. Overall, we tried two Kea hotels and would try others!

I miss the lack of kettle. Nespresso machine just doesn't make a good tea. I deducted a star because this hotel is started to show signs of wear and tear. A chip out of the chair etc. it is nit picking. Beds were comfortable and this was the end of a two week stay in Iceland but the room wasn't that luxurious end I had envisioned. You do get to use the Borg sauna and jacuzzi so we did but I am a room comfort and breakfast person. Those extras don't beat super quality bed Iinen for me. The banquette seating in Apótek is very comfortable. Hard chairs not so good. Hard chairs are by the windows so banquette every time for me. Comfort comfort comfort!

Amazing breakfast, top 2 in my life. We ate at the restaurant one night, and it was really really good vegan option. Comfy bed. Great location with supermarket and offlicense around the corner. It is a little but away from the hustle and bustle, yet close enough to walk places. Staff were lovely and helped with where to park.

My only complaint is that we were kept awake on the Saturday night by the night club which is next door. Thank fully it is only open Saturday night and only til 1am, but may be an issue for some people.

Good breakfast but not up the standard of lunch and dinner which were excellent and unusual The location could not be bettered - charming places nearby, walking distance to museums, especially the Punk Museum, which was crazy and wonderful. Quite near the main bus stop for dropoffs and pickups for airport and trips.

The room was a bit cramped for two. No drawers so difficult to store clothes well.

The bed was very comfortable (and that is from two people who are very messy sleepers). The room felt very warm, comfortable, and welcoming after a long day exploring the town and country. The lobby while yes small and relatively tucked away was easy to navigate, warm, and not cluttered. The friendly staff didn’t hurt the environment either.

The only issue we had the with the entirety of the property was the shower. I can not speak for every room but the issue we ended up having was that the drain in the shower did not drain faster than the rate of which the water was coming out of the shower head. Everything else about the bathroom was great.

I loved my small single room. Felt like I was in Paris. Room was spotless and despite the intimate size there were many amenities including a towel warming rack in an elegant bathroom. The winding stairwell with sculptures felt like Rodin’s Museum. I hope to return.

I felt the continental breakfast was too much food and too expensive. I like to start off my day with just coffee and a croissant.

Very comfy bed and spacious rooms. The room was equipped with everything we needed, including two TVs and bluetooth speakers. All staff members were super friendly and helpful. Fabulous location. We got the breakfast buffet included and it was incredible!!

While we loved the location, we found it a bit noisy at night if we wanted to keep our windows open since we were facing a park and some restaurants. Was no issue with ear plugs though.

Excellent location, room was comfortable and very clean.

Hotel’s policy of only cleaning your room upon request doesn’t match is high price point. I clean at my home, not on vacation. I question whether this policy is really “green”. Reuse towels, of course, but please clean my room without being asked.

The concierge was wonderful. He helped me with directions, called taxis for me and even found a box to fit a pottery purchase to get it safely home. Icelandic people have been so good to me on this trip, I would recommend Iceland to all women solo travelers.

Excellent location, great room, whole hotel was immaculately kept, staff (reception, dining room, cleaning) were friendly & helpful. Breakfast buffet was absolutely fabulous! We'd love to go back to Iceland, and wouldn't stay at any other hotel in Reykjavik other than the Apotek!

Only improvement we might have liked to see was our packed breakfast upon departure day (so a small grumble really)... Unfortunately our bus to the airport left unnecessarily early in the morning, and we had to leave before the excellent hotel buffet breakfast opened (07:00), which we had of course paid for as part of the bed & breakfast package. The hotel were kind enough to provide us with a packed breakfast to take with us (for which - thanks), but it was only a ham & cheese sandwich and an apple, which was not representative of the fantastic breakfast buffet. Perhaps a little more imagination from the (excellent) restaurant staff here?

Great location, very nice staff, and the BEST SHOWER IN THE WORLD!!! I could have spent hours in it, much better than home. Magnificent water pressure!

A bit on the spendy side, but I was on vacation, so not a deal breaker.
