It is so difficult finding nice places to stay in Italy as there is always some weird problem, major disappointment or rude people, but this place was an oasis of peace. And the breakfast was just excellent. It was the best breakfast I had in the three weeks I travelled Italy. Absolutely amazing, beautiful hotel, beautiful rooms, polite and respectful staff. Probably the only place in all of Italy where everything works properly. And all for a very reasonable price. Bravo!

The staff sprays a little men’s cologne on the bed linens, I could have done without that, but that is my only complaint. It didn’t bother me that much, but my friends really did not appreciate it. Please stop doing that, and this place would level up from nearly perfect to perfect.

I was driving from Tuscany to northern Italy and needed a Hotel to stay for the night on route...Hotel Napoleon popped up on my Booking search for Lucca. Location was perfect just off the freeway. Arrived late in the evening and was met by 2 friendly staff members. I booked a single room but the bed was at least a double size and the room spacious. The bathroom was also spacious...everything was spotlessly clean. In the morning the buffet breakfast was very extensive.

There was nothing to not like....the Hotel exceeded my expectations.

The room and hotel were clean and generally well maintained. Unfortunately we received notice a couple of days before arrival that the air conditioning in the hotel wasn't working. If the weather had been really hot this would have been a significant problem. We could open the window in the evening / overnight when it was cooler which helped. The downside of that was the traffic noise from the busy road outside. It's only a 10 / 15 minute walk into Lucca from the hotel so not in a bad location.

best breakfast we got at similar hotels in Italy (lots of vegan milk options) , the room was very nice, the staff is very helpful, it's a walking distance from the center(15 min) and has free parking

there is nothing to do at the hotel and the WIFI didn't work well at our room(which was at the end of the corridor, we did get the option to move to the next room and it did had a much better signal so i guess it's just the edges that have a problem)

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. It was easily accessible to the concert I was attending.

Unfortunately their air conditioning wasn't working which I was notified of after booking. My options were limited due to the Lucca Summer Festival, so I kept my booking. Staff offered a fan on check in which was very well received. It was a bit expensive for one night, but as the festival was on, I understood the higher price point.

It was very hot but the room was very cool. Breakfast was lovely. Location was good- an easy twelve minute walk to the old town and twenty minutes to the train station

Nothing major. A bit limited on storage space if you are staying more than a couple of days. The safe was located very high up on the top of the wardrobe- too high for anyone under 5 feet 10 inches !

Outside building looks rough but inside was very nice. Comfortable room, friendly staff, good breakfast provided.

Terrible location on a busy road. Difficult walk to the city center…15-20 minutes. We like to be in the center or at least an easy, quick walk.

Location. It's near a busy road and a fair walk into the centre. We were worried it would be noisy at night but it wasnt.

Except the location a little bit outside of the old town it is very nice hotel with good breakfast. But you can avoid the main busy street to walk to the ancient city wall through quiet local residential area.

My friends has the room at the neighbor bar side which is very loud noisy on Friday.

Very nice modern hotel in Lucca, located near the walls/ historic centre and the highway. Private parking space available. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The staff is very kind. Breakfast was also good.

The property is great! It would be a great plus for the hotel to have the eletric charging station for recharging eletric cars.
