Great location, the room was beautiful and spacious overlooking the swimming pool. Food and drinks at the restaurant were of a very high quality and all ingredients very tasty and fresh, high quality presentation too. Staff very professional, helpful at all times and friendly. The rooftop swimming pool offers a fantastic view over the island, especially at the sunset it was magic from up there!

The room was fantastic but lacking of a few last touches such as extra hangers and shelves for the clothes, but we understand the hotel is brand new and the manager is still adding the last few touches to improve the comfort. So I would say not to worry about this for guests who will stay here in the next future because it should all be fixed soon.

Right from the start Isaac and the front of house team made us feel incredibly welcome. The hotel is in a fantastic location on a beautiful quiet section of Holbox beach. The design of the hotel is incredible and the rooms a great size, but it was the staff that really made this feel like an exceptional trip. They couldn’t have been more helpful - even when there was a hurricane they were running around in the rain the make sure guests were OK. The food was also outstanding, with a mix of Mexican and European on offer. I would return here in a heartbeat and highly recommend it!

The rooms were clean, well maintained, and beautifully designed. Being able to step out of my room and into the pool was incredible! Both restaurants onsite were delicious and easy to access. The concierge staff was friendly and always available to help. Jenny was a local and provided me a lot of great tips of where to go on the island as a solo, female travel.

They clearly are still new as the staff was still hanging lights and decor. And it was sometimes difficult to get the bar staff’s attention, they seemed to prioritize larger parties.

We loved the property and room. Beautiful architecture and wonderful location. The staff was so kind and helpful.

The hotel had been open for less than a month when we stayed so they were still doing some work and working out some details. The rooms were super minimal, which is nice, but could have used a few touches: more hooks for hanging towels and wet bathing suites, a full length mirror, some sort mat for the front and back doors so you don’t track in sand. The pool on the roof was a little too warm for the weather. The outdoor dining area and roof could use some shade umbrellas.

Design wise hotel is awesome and located right on a beach.

We liked EVERYTHING!! The hotel and the rooms were better then the photo's The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The hotel is right on the beach so you're only steps away from the ocean which was so clear and beautiful. The food was absolutely amazing too. We wanted to try more restaurants but the food was so good we kept eating at the hotel.

There's very little to complain about at all. If anything it would be nice to have more water jugs available in case you needed a glass or water late night or something like that.

- not enough sunbeds for guests (only 4 comfy double sunbeds and 4 old wooden ones that were very uncomfortable) - no fridge in the room - no tv - terrible acoustics, super noisy: you can unfortunately hear conversations, blowdrying, use of toilet and everything else from the rooms next to and above you. So maybe it's good afterall that there were no TVs

Everything about the place was great! The room was beautiful and comfy, very neat. The stuff super nice and helpful. The food is also great, they make a great pizza and lobster roll. And the vibes overall are great.

I liked everything about the hotel, however since it is not so close to the center, guests should be aware that it is not possible to walk to the center by the main street, because Holbox streets are in very bad conditions. The 2 options to the center are: taxi-quad which would cost 200 pesos each way, or walking by the beach which takes about 15-20 min. Personally it was not a problem, I mostly walked, but I have to admit that walking during the day can be hard because of high temperature and at night you need to feel comfy since it is very dark. Just for the guests to know and make an informed decision :)

The place was beautiful! The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. We ate some of the most amazing food at the restaurants. Service was excellent! We were there during Hurricane Helena and couldn’t leave our room for about 24 hours do to heavy rain and wind, but the staff continued to meet our needs and they even braved the elements to bring us room service. We still had the best time!! The sunsets were absolutely stunning!

The only thing negative about Awa, was that we only got to stay there 6 days. Wish we could have stayed longer!!
