Decent room in a great location. Cozy atmosphere around the hotel and very central to major sights. The room was decently comfortable. It was clean, and the member of staff at check-in (at the Hotel Lisboa) was friendly.

Checking in at another hotel two blocks away was a bit weird, but no big deal. Happy we were with two so one could stay with the luggage and the other could go the Lisboa hotel for check-in. Would have been more annoying if it was raining. Biggest downside is probably that there is no elevator, so had to carry the suitcases up two flights of stairs. The bathroom was quite small and the shower didn't keep temperature. The beds were ok, but not great.

The room was on an upper floor and alongside other rooms via hallway. the room felt secure but i didn't trust the safe in there (coin operated). the beds were surprisingly comfortable and the A/C worked good. the room is small but i wasn't going for size since i'd be out every day for two days. the bathroom was tight and the sink was barely deep enough to wash your hands. room was clean and simple. i lost a keycard which was easily replaced the next day when reception was open. the reception fellow was straight to the point, although i tried, no conversation other than business occurred. THe room was noisy in the alley way (bars) but was much quieter once closing the windows and quiet during the night once midnight/1pm hit. I wouldn't hesitate staying there again if i went back to Madrid.

THe room was simple and spartan. no frills. needed to have two key cards. one had to be placed in the wall slot to activate electricity (cost saving measure) if you wanted to have the room cooler when you got back from an outing. the sink needs to be deeper to have more use but it was clean. not really much to complain about. it was what i was looking for.

The staff was very friendly, accommodating and informative. The location is great. Very close to everything we wanted to see and plenty of nice restaurants and entertainment. The shower had a very nice showerhead. Clothes rack with hangers.

The towels looked dirty. They were washed but stained. The air conditioning does not shut off when it reached desired temperature so it required manual control. The doors in the property are very loud but luckily most movement stopped by the time we wanted to sleep.

We had a good stay at the Hostel Prado, it was a great location, the room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.

I would have liked a hairdryer in the room and I wasn't sure I liked the frosted glass bathroom door with a gap all around it, with 3 in a room, using the bathroom didn't feel quite as private as I would have preferred.

In the middle of everything. You could walk to all the major parts, parks, and museums in the city. The room had comfortable beds and a little room to spread out.

It takes two flights of steps to get to it. There is no elevator. That wasn't and isn't a deal breaker, it's just something people should know before booking.

Location and cleanliness

The music in the street at weekends until 7am but there are double sets of doors which we didn't realise until the day after. And I didn't like that the room key was blocked ten minutes before 12 meaning I couldn't get back in for the last of the suitcases.

I stayed here on a previous trip so I was familiar with their two properties. The location is great, the staff helpful and the room is nice, clean and crazy affordable. It’s everything you need.

The room was clean and comfortable.

The check-in process was complicated and not clear. I had to check in at another property that did not have 24/5 staff.

one of the best hostels i've ever been. It's located just 5 min walk from puerta del sol and metro station. around there are a lot of cafes and restuarants, but the same time it's very quiet. rooms are clean and very, very nice. friendly and helpful stuff. i totally recommend it!
