Perfect location when visiting London as it’s just next to Kings Cross. The hotel is located in a quiet street, full of other hotels and safe to walk at night. The room was small but had everything you need when you spend all day outside exploring the city. Its perfect to rest and sleep. If you are staying more than one night, they offer to do the cleaning each day. You should let them down every day. The staff was kind and offered to keep our luggage when we did the check out. Unfortunately we had already booked a place to leave them. But will keep this in mind for the next time.
If you are a light sleeper, you might want to take some earplugs as you can hear people walking on the upper floors, going up and down the stairs, etc. However, you don’t get any of the outside noises which is great. If you are a large person, you might want to consider staying here due to the small bathroom and shower but it worked fine for us. Good water pressure and quantity. The bedscarf had stains so we removed immediately. The bedsheets could be changed as we’ve found some marks on them. But these were the only two negative points. Overall, it’s a very good place quality/price hotel and I would stay here next time I visit London.

The location of the hotel which is close to the central part of London is a big plus for somebody who wants to visit London offering good metro and bus connections to all parts of the city. The price offered for this hotel is unbeatable for someone that just wants to visit the city and crash in the bed at the end of the day.
For me there are no negatives since we were not a couple that need huge space accommodations in order to visit a city but for other people the Georgian style of the rooms, meaning small, might be a huge negative but that depends on what type of tourist that you are.

Location is perfect, about 5 minutes walk from Kings Cross, 10 from Euston stations meaning all of London is easily accessible via Underground. Bed is very cozy and comfortable, shower had hot water and strong pressure and rooms made up/towels refreshed daily. Polite and friendly staff.
Some practical considerations just need to be taken into account. The rooms can be very small, and it can be quite easy to hear walking and talking from adjacent rooms. As a larger built person, the room I had was sometimes awkward to navigate especially as bathrooms can also be very small. So, space can get tight. Also in the public spaces as well. Room storage is adequate. However, the main thing is this is an affordable, convenient and most importantly, clean, hotel that should serve most people’s needs.

Have stayed at Angus a few times over the years. It is a simple, budget-friendly place if you need to be near St. Pancras or King's Cross stations and don't mind a place with fairly tight space. Recently stayed here for a few nights, all went as well, similar to my past experiences at Angus Hotel. Room reservation was made through booking.com, received confirmation through email immediately. Was nicely received upon arrival, there is luggage storage space available and a nice reception staff. Check-in was pretty quick. Room is small and basic but gets the important things right. Bed takes up a large portion of the room space. Mattress is comfortable so easy to sleep well. There is good room lighting, flatscreen TV mounted on the wall. Wifi works very well. Fan, hair dryer, safe, kettle all fitted nicely. Small desk and chair as well as space to hang a few clothing items. Good space under the bed to store larger luggage and bags.
Bathroom is tiny, just enough space for toilet, sink and shower, little room for movement. Something to think about for those with mobility issues. Otherwise, beyond the tight space, everything worked just fine.

The location to King's Cross is fantastic, just across the road basically. So connections to the underground were perfect for our trip. The building is quite charming and based in a square with a park in the middle which gave a nice view from the window. Although the room was compact it was perfect size for me and my 8 year old child. Bed and pillows are really comfortable. Stayed for two nights and had fresh water, towels and tea /coffee supplied both days. There was a lovely little Italians at the end of the street ( opposite train station ).
The room was sooooo warm! Although a fan is supplied its soo noisy to try and sleep with, but even with the window opened we needed the fan. I feel this also made the water warm which is kindly supplied - I would put the bottles on the balcony to keep cool. Staff were very professional but no personal approach from them which I think would of added to our London experience.

Location was great for Kings Cross Station. Plenty places to eat roundabout. Room was clean and cleaned daily with fresh towels. Beds were clean. We had a twin room but the beds were actually right next to each other with no space in between. Biscuits, tea coffee milk etc available. We were on first floor, thankfully as there is no lift. Rooms were fine for the price we paid.
Shower room was really tiny. Could hardly turn in it. We were only there 2 nights but it would have been so annoying if we had stayed longer. Room was small but doable for the short time we stayed. Could do with a full length mirror. Some hooks for coats. Also, maybe a couple of drawers. Staff were pleasant enough but could have been friendlier.

A very clean, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing room (if you're ok with stairs, ask for a room with a view on the upper floor). The rooms are competitively priced - I have stayed in another popular hotel in the same area and the room was miserable, so the Angus is a safe bet in this price bracket and I will always look to stay here first. The hotel is less than ten minutes' walk from Marchmont St. and the centre of Bloomsbury and about 3 minutes from Kings Cross/St. Pancras. Another big plus is the area is very quiet!
This is all about value for money - the rooms are not large and the bathroom is particularly small, but it is all manageable, pleasant on the eye and very clean.

We've stayed here before cos it's really close to King's Cross and easy access to all parts of London via metro. It's spotlessly clean and usually comfortable. Rooms are small and compact, but that's all that's needed for a short break - 2 nights, and if you like to travel light. No breakfast facilities but that suits us cos we are here to enjoy London, theatre and lots of eating out.
It was so hot in the room, even with the window open fully and the fan on full all night. (26°c outside) It was stifling. Complimentary bottled water is provided, but it was not cold, cool, or enjoyable. The shower cubicle door had no handle on it, and if I hadn't been sharing with my daughter, not sure how I would've got out!

This is my go to hotel for 4-5 day stay on my way to other locations in EU. While the room is small, it is very quiet with comfortable double bed & every amenity I need. I particularly like that one of receptionists, Anna, has always been so welcoming & helpful; feel known in way don't think I would in a large hotel. Hotel is conveniently located a short walk from Kings Cross & St Pancras allowing easy access to every other part of London.
Hotels in London are expensive -- tho this one probably not as much as others in touristy areas of city. I find Angus Hotel a good value for the familiarity & convenience & it's easy access to tube makes rest of city accessible.

We were warmly greeted in a very professional manner and our room was on the ground floor as I had requested, due to my husband having had a knee replacement. The room was small but spotless and had tea and coffee facilities and a well functioning TV. I always prefer the security of a 24 hour front desk as the Angus has. We would stay again.
The price was exorbitant given that there are no breakfast facilities, but not out of the ordinary for London nowadays. Plenty of eateries within walking distance. Having said that I do not feel we had nearly £150 worth of value.
