Location of the property was excellent, walking distance from Port Authority Bus Terminal Station as well as from Penn Station or Moynihan Train Hall NYC. All major tourist attractions including Times Square were very convenient to reach from this place. Breakfast was also amazing with lot of options and was starting early in the morning. Room was clean, 24 hours hot water available. Overall excellent experience.

WiFi could have been slightly better, was not strong enough or may be the hotel was full due to which the bandwidth was not sufficient but was not a showstopper.

location to Times Square and other things we wanted to see

after leaving Times Square, the walk down 39th from 7th is not great. two different occasions of passing someone shooting up right on the sidewalk. when we asked the hotel for recommendations as to if there was another way to bypass some of that they replied “it’s New York City”. we did finally figure out on our own that simply walking down 39th on the opposite side of the street from the hotel felt WAY better.

The hotel was well located not far from Times Square (on the south side) and 2 metro stations. It as very easy to get around and we never felt unsafe walking through the area (a group of two moms and teen girls). The room was small for 4 people and we had to get creative with where to put everything but when in NYC you really are only in the room to sleep and get ready so it was fine. It is not a luxury or spacious hotel but we would rather save our money for experiences than the hotel.

It is a 22 floor hotel with 2 elevators so twice there was a long wait to try to get to the room and back down due to the elevator being full every time it stopped at our floor. The breakfast was a typical hotel buffet that is not too great but it was a much better idea to get a bagel from the cart down the street. We liked to fill our water bottles every day and you were not allowed to do that in the breakfast area. All of the ice machines were not functioning except for the one in the basement and the water faucet on that barely trickled out.

Everything was great! As I was heading down from Maine via Amtrak, Ariana from the front desk texted me to see how things were going and I was able to tell her I'd be arriving a little early. Also, the location was wonderful for me, only six blocks from the Moynihan Train Hall to the hotel and then six or seven blocks from the hotel to the Theatre District and the TKTS booth. And the huge hot/cold breakfast buffet was great, a lot to choose from...fruit, juice, coffee, tea, bagels, white bread, English muffins, cold cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, a hot make-your-own waffle station, a couple of chafing dishes of eggs, omelets, sausage, potatoes. Not everything was the greatest quality - eggs were a tad rubbery - and the "hot" stuff wasn't all that hot but I did love being able to have coffee and eat something - get breakfast over with - so I could go back to the room and brush my teeth before heading out. Also, some people said the elevators were slow but I was on th 20th floor and I didn't experience that. And I got a great rate for three nights with my "genius" discount on booking.com. Also, the bed was very comfortable, my king room was a decent size, small fridge in room, plus a coffeemaker that I never used.

The only small issue was that the hot water in the bathroom sink was just lukewarm. I mentioned it to the front desk and Ariana asked if I wanted an engineer to take a look but I said no. The shower was nice and hot, though, when I let it run a while. And the bathroom sink tap did get hot eventually, I think after my shower? I was never quite sure what prompted it to run hot or when. Also, I'd requested a 5:30 a.m. wakeup call on my last morning in town but that never came. I had figured out the night before how to set the alarm on my phone, though, so no harm done! And now I know how to set the alarm on my phone...

We loved everything about our stay! We arrived in New York from Mississippi around 12:30 that afternoon and check in was not until 3 but they allowed us to check in early! No questions asked which was one of the huge things for me! The second huge thing was checkout was at 12 but our flight was not until 9:30 that night so they stored our bags until we were ready to leave! There was 4 of us so almost every night we requested extra towels/ rags and they never once complained and got right on it! The staff was top notch and I would definitely recommend staying!

The room was smaller than expected with four of us but we were so busy during the day we were only there to shower and sleep so it was fine! We did have an issue with our key one time and they fixed it right away!

The breakfast area offered a variety of items to select from including sausage, eggs, oatmeal, muffins, bagels, toast, waffles, cereals, juices and three different types of coffee. The entire staff was very pleasant as well.

The rooms were a little small. Especially since we were 2 adults and 2 small children (5 and 4 year old). However, the room was clean, the hotel offered numerous channels to watch (including Disney/Nickelodeon/ Junior channels) and the bathroom was nice and hand soap, facial soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion which were attached to the wall of the bathroom and shower. We loved that!

Great location and very good price for my stay. Breakfast was great.

They didn't want to move my check in for one day and led me to cancel the full reservation only for me to find out that re-booking would cost me ove 25% extra. There were no reasons to refuse the earlier check in since the rooms were available and it was a weekday anyway. Breakfast room was packed always. Elevators during breakfast times impossible to be used.

For the price, we expected continental breakfast (cold breakfast) but there was a full hot buffet breakfast available which was a pleasant surprise. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The coffee machine (which we used for hot water for tea) was very slow and spurted out hot water. Also teabags as well as coffee should be available in the rooms... although staff were very accommodating when we asked for some tea bags, so it wasn't a huge problem.

Location

Long wait for elevator . Request for lower floor at reservation and check in due to husband’s heart condition and past experience of long elevator wait times was not available . Husband not able to tolerate stairs on the 20th floor … changed to 11 th floor … still a struggle for husband . Hopefully request for lower floor will be accommodated for future trips to NYC ( December) .

Excellent location and close to the 42nd Street subway. Rooms are clean and comfortable but quite dated. Didn't mind that and the breakfast was OK with a hot and cold selection with plenty of variety. We were pleased our $150 deposit was paid back a few hours after departure. Very good location in heart of Midtown Manhattan. Excellent value hotel for the money

Only 2 lifts for a 32 storey building so sometimes you wait a while for lift then it's full and you need to wait for next one . Also it's used by staff as no service lift. It's no big deal as we weren't in hurry as we are on holiday in fabulous New York. Great priced hotel. We will return and recommended to others in England.
