Excellent location, the metro is very close, and most attractions are within walking distance. It couldn’t have been better in this regard. Very friendly and helpful staff. The Starbucks with direct access from the hotel is also a nice option. Despite having a late flight, we were able to leave our luggage after checkout without any hassle. The price-to-quality ratio is perfect, and I will definitely stay here again. Great quality Wi-Fi. Highly recommend!

The rooms are unfortunately very small but cozy and clean. The bathroom is great. The view from the window, however, is nothing special.

The staff was fantastic! Friendly and multilingual (English and Spanish), they even offered complimentary water and chocolates at the front desk. Despite my late arrival, they accommodated an early check-in if a room was available. The room itself was compact, perfect for a solo traveler. Cleanliness was excellent, and the large windows facing the 35th street providing beautiful natural light. The bathroom was equally spotless and well-equipped with all the essentials like shampoo, towels, and a hairdryer. Overall, a perfect stay for one!

Be advised that hallway noise can occur during early morning cleaning shifts (around 7:30-8:30am). Earplugs or using the air conditioning fan for white noise can help manage this.

Location was an 11/10. Smack dab in the middle of Midtown. It was a 5 minute walk to Macy's at Herald Square. Great central point to explore either north or south in the city. Our venture into Brooklyn was 35 minutes door do door grabbing the Q at 34th and then the L at 14th. Upon our return each evening, the friendly concierge would have already pressed the elevator button to have it ready for us. Housekeeping always had the room looking guest ready. Really good bang for the buck.

This boutique hotel isn't actually IN the Empire State Building as the listing might have you believe. But you do get some great views of it. There is only the one elevator so you might need to wait a bit. However, we were on the second floor, so it was no problem to walk up instead.

The location is fantastic, and everything is close by. You can also see the Empire State Building, walk to Central Park, and easily reach the Hudson River or East River from here. The people here are incredibly warm and kind. During my 30-day stay, I felt cozy and comfortable thanks to the amazing people I met. Ty is such a humorous and friendly guy. If I visit New York again, I would definitely come back here.

The room is small and modest, but it's clean. The sound of the ventilation fan is somewhat loud. If you're sensitive to noise, I wouldn't recommend it.

Great central location, so many sights within walking distance, and not far from the subway station, for when there was a need for the train. The room was small, but that's NYC for you...for a family, more room may be needed, but for a couple it'll do just fine. The hotel itself was pretty quiet, didn't hear a lot of noise from other occupants, and even the noises from the street weren't too bad. I would stay here again. No issues with hot water or the temp of the room. Very good bargain for staying in the city, IF you don't need much space.

The receptionist at the desk was a bit unclear about the total due at check-in. He told me one price, but then my card was charged another. It was because of the deposit, which is fine, I just wish that was more clearly communicated before running my card. But he was friendly, all of that front desk staff was.

The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. Housekeeping did an amazing job and constantly checked on us to see if we needed more towels or if they could clean the room . The lobby has a Starbucks attached, which is very helpful in the mornings and even in the cold evenings. The location of the hotel is prime. It’s right across the street from the Empire State building walking distance to Rockefeller Center Times Square and other major restaurants and attractions without needing to get a cab or take any type of transportation. However, it is very close to 34th St. train station, which allows you to take every number and letter train available. There's tons of, pizzerias and delis within a one block radius, so grabbing a quick bite or drink, or water at anytime is really easy especially after midnight.

The rooms were tight. I’m 6 feet tall roughly 235 pounds. I’m a bodybuilder and the room would be sufficient if it would've just been me, however I was traveling with my partner so sharing a queen size bed was not ideal. They offered to switch us to a room with a king size bed. However, the square footage of the room would’ve been exactly the same. We only spent one full day in the room, but it would’ve been nice to have a table or dining area in the suite like most hotels have. My only suggestion would be that may the corner suites be combined into a bigger suite, so it can accommodate two or three people comfortably.

Location, so close to everything you need with a great bus system if you don’t want to use the subway. Starbucks in adjoining foyer for coffee in the morning. Hershey chocolate kisses at front desk and bottled water in room every day. Room was cleaned and towels changed every day without having to remind or ask.

Things that we already knew before we booked such as no fridge, we were offered to use the hotel fridge but would have been more convenient to have one in the room. Also Street noise all night, we were on the second floor, could have done with double glazing on the windows

I loved my stay at U Hotel Fifth Avenue. The location is excellent, right in front of the Empire State Building, which made exploring the city very convenient. and the prices are very affordable. The room was always clean and very comfortable. The bed was great, and the space, although compact, was well utilized.

The only thing I missed was having a minibar in the room. Despite this, having a Starbucks inside the hotel was a great convenience. Also have a couple CVS to buy some snacks/soft drinks/water...
