I had a pleasant stay at the Wingate by Wyndham in New York Midtown South. The staff was generally helpful, and I’d especially like to mention Mr. Tenzim, who was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. He went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed.

One issue, however, was the $200 deposit required at check-in, with the assurance that it would be refunded after check-out. Unfortunately, I have yet to see this amount returned to my bank account. I hope to see the matter resolved soon, as it’s the only detail that left me somewhat unsatisfied.

Great location, great staff , very comfortable bed. I asked for a City View Room and had a great view, not a Empire State Building rooftop view but very good for the price. Some comments say they don't have a locker room for the luggage but that's not true, they happily stored it for us. The Breakfast was a nice add-on , small room but worked ok.

According to my expectations nothing at all.

Excellent location, a 10 minutes walk from Grand Central Station and around 7 minutes walk to Times Square. Easy access to the subway/buses. The room was very small but we knew already and it didn't represent an issue for us, we had all the space we needed. Very comfortable bed, big TV screen, good choice of teas and coffee in the room, great water pressure from the shower. Complimentary breakfast is a big plus - too bad they didn't have any dairy free milk/options in general, but it was good overall. We would recommend it for a couple/friends travelling together.

The room was a bit noisy sometimes - I think the noise came from the mini fridge and from the air con system. It didn't bother us that much to raise a complaint, but definitely something to point out. Very cold air in the hotel, but that is a US thing apparently (very cold air con everywhere), so not really the hotel's fault, luckily the room wasn't affected.

The location is excellent in Midtown Manhattan, within walking distance of Herald Square, 5th Avenue, Bryant Park, Grand Central and several subway stations. The breakfast has options of fruits, bagel, breads, coffee, tea, waffles, cereals, yogurt and eggs, enough to start the day. In NY, it is rare to find accommodation with a cafe in this price range. The room is small, but it is possible to accommodate two people, with little luggage. The bed is comfortable. The shower is great. The facilities are new. It is worth highlighting the cordiality and efficiency of the reception team, always attentive, friendly and kind. The possibility of early check-in, even with a small fee, made all the difference on the day of arrival.

It's not a problem with the hotel, but with the prices in Manhattan. The cost of accommodation in Manhattan at this time of year is very high. There is still limited space in the coffee room. Some people, however, exceeded the limit and stayed beyond 30 minutes, meaning some guests had to eat standing up.

I recently stayed at a hotel in New York, just a 10-minute walk from Times Square, and it was a fantastic experience. The room was a bit small but extremely modern and impeccably clean. The bathroom was very nice, with a sleek design and great functionality. The breakfast was abundant, offering a wide variety of delicious options, and the staff was incredibly kind and attentive. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York. It’s a perfect choice for those seeking comfort, cleanliness, and convenience in the heart of the city!

the only flaw was that the rooms were a little small

Great location - though 37th is a busier street than some others. Easy to walk to all locations we wanted to get to, and good access to subway. Very comfortable rooms (and the Empire State Building views were stunning!). Only 4 rooms per floor so nice and compact. Beds and pillows comfortable. Good water pressure and hot water. Didn't have included breakfast as too crowded day 1, too late day 2 and too early day 3.

Some noise heard between rooms, especially with guests returning late at night. The elevator beeps as it passes every floor which is kind of annoying.

We were given a room on the top floor, the 18th, with a perfect view of the Empire State Building. The room size was just right, equipped with a refrigerator and a capsule coffee maker, which could also be used for tea. The bathroom was modern, clean, and comfortable, containing everything one might need. The hotel is located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, so it's just a few hundred meters from the Empire State Building, the Flatiron, Grand Central, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, etc., but you can also walk to the High Line Park or even Central Park within half an hour. The staff was very helpful as well. I can only recommend this place.

There isn't really any. Due to the size of the hotel, the breakfast area is small, but since it opens from 6 AM, if you go early, it's not a big issue.

Almost perfect. The room had a direct view at the Empire State Building, it was very clean (and refreshed daily), cozy and large enough. The location of the hotel is great, all Manhattan attractions are near.

The breakfast could be a lot better, all food was the same for all 6 days we stayed. Not enough fresh fruit and was not stocked very well. We were early at the breakfast so there were no crowds, but it grts busy later.
