View of the ocean as advertised. Able to park outside our door. Bistro and bottle shop nearby which was handy. A good walk from the blowhole, was good exercise and totally worth it. Nice and clean, comfortable bed.

No hair dryer in the room (although I didn't ask at reception if they had one that I could use). Would have been good to have some sort of instruction on how to access the property by car, as it wasn't that obvious when we first got there but we worked it out. It was drizzling a bit during our stay, a roof over the balcony area would have given us better use of it considering the sea view. The TV was quite small and a couple channels were intermittently not working (we like to watch TV at night when winding down).

The place was neat and clean. The location was great and there was ample parking. The staff were friendly and helpful and overall it was a nice stay. The rates were affordable as well and they accommodate different numbers of people. There was a pool which would be great for summer and the closest beach was only 500m away

There were only sheets and one bedcover on the beds so as it was freezing we had to run the heating high to make it bearable. The beds could also do with mattress protectors as well as it is a little icky to see none on them. And outside areas could do with more lights.

Definitely worth the money. The room was clean with a nicely updated bathroom. The air conditioning was strong, quickly heating the room on a cold day. The location was also very convenient, just a 2-minute drive from everything. Highly recommend for a budget-friendly stay! I'll definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in Bicheno.

I probably wouldn't call it 'beachfront' since the beach is actually across the road and there’s no water view from the motel. But I didn't mind because the clean and warm room exceeded my expectations.

The location of the Beachfront is super convenient and close to beautiful Redbill Beach. It's also an easy walk to nearby cafes. Highly recommend Governors for coffee and breakfast. The room we had was a pool view and was pretty basic, which was fine. It was very clean and the bed was really comfortable. We've previously stayed in ocean view rooms which are nicer, and I think newer. But really, our pool view room was fine. We stayed for 2 nights and had dinner at the Lobster Shack near the blowhole and ate dessert back at the Beachfront. Highly recommend the sticky date pudding with candied walnuts! We'll definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the COURTYARD KING SPLIT room and we could park the car right in front of it, which was convenient to uffload our luggage. There was a mini fridge and a kettle in the room, and hotel pub kindly shared some plates and cutlery with us. The bed was super comfy and probably the best bed we slept in during our travels. Would have deffinitely stayed for a couple of nights more.

We could not figure out how to turn on the heat as it was chilly outside, but the blanket was warm and it did not get too cold in the room, so this is a minor inconvenience.

Our room, like most, if not all had a fantastic sea view and the walk to the beach across the road was an easy few minutes away,. The beach is so beautiful with local shops and cafes only another minute or two walk further along. Every thing is very handy to the motel. The rooms at the front have a small verandah that allows you to sit out and enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the scenery in front. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would suggest a walk up to the top of the Whalers Lookout, again only a few minutes walk from the motel. My husband was lucky enough to see a humpback whale approximately 500 metres off shore putting a display of fin slapping and rolling on its back. He walked to the second lookout on this hill and saw 2 more humpbacks breaching and putting on a fantastic display about 1km off shore. He had brought a pair of binos with him which were worth their weight in gold on an occasion like this. (The walk to the top of the lookout is fairly steep and rough, but only took him, a 64yr old man about 10mins to climb). My only complaint is that we only stayed here for one night. We would certainly stay here again.

Very minor things, Barn door on the bathroom was not level so always budged open and the gap at the other side allowed some vision into the bathroom. The bag holder was just a bit too small so I had to store my bag on the floor. I am not keen on bath showers but that's just my personal opinion. These all said would not stop me from recommending or staying again in the future.

We weren’t sure what to expect but we were positively surprised. The room it’s self was large with all the basics. I appreciated the modern decor touches and cleanliness. The kettle and large mini fridge were a great addition, and the TV even had Netflix. Awesome for a short stay would come back.

Part of the rooms do overlook the parking lot which can be a bit annoying if people are coming by or making noise outside. Like I said only an annoyance nothing that would stop me from coming back.

The staff were really helpful - We rode into town on bikes, and ended up with torrential rain. Whilst sheltering in a bakery, we called the accommodation and they were very helpful and happy to let us check in earlier, which saved us from a fate of spending the next 2 hours eating pies, and drinking coffee. Much appreciated. The units have a fantastic sea view, and given the weather, we decided stay dry, and eat in tavern attached to this property - The meals were hearty and reasonably priced

We came to Bicheno for the penguin tour, and the hotel was very well located for that. There was a gorgeous little beach very close by, and a nice cafe with beautiful views across the road. There was a mix up with the room we booked, but the staff were able to put us in an even nicer and newer 2 bed apartment instead. We didn't have a sea view but the apartment was lovely.

Missed out on the sea view due to the room mix up but overall the room was probably more comfortable anyway, so all well!
