The room was ideal. We had booked it so our young dog would settle and the owners even left a blanket and treats for kaley. Such a lovely touch. Sorry about kaley barking at your cats 🙈 breakfast was very good and they allowed us to do it in shifts so the dog wasn't left alone. They did say she could come into the dining room but she's not got good enough manners for that haha would definitely recommend

The paddock for the dogs is an excellent idea and the fact that the place is dog friendly made our travel easier and worry-free. The place was spotless and Lesley and Ian were very nice. Such a lovely stay.

If you are travelling with a sensitive/nervous dog maybe the fabolous cottages that they have available next to the main house are a better option because of people passing, other dogs staying in the building and the narrow corridors. You have the option, we loved it though and they were very nice to us :)

You could order porridge the night before. Apart from that it was the worst breakfast we had on our trip. Small pots of Marmalade in the fridge which meant it was impossible to open them. Interestingly, there were small sachets of marmalade on the table which were used by all and sundry as the fridge glass pots were unusable.We had to ask for butter. It was under a metal cover and no one had checked to see it had all gone.

Very nice guest house in a quiet location with a small park and convenient parking. The accommodation we received was on the ground floor, with separate entrance, large rooms (one living room and one bedroom), recently renovated.

The internet was terrible, very slow, intermittent. Breakfast was a bit poor, basically one kind of cold cuts, cheeses and jams, no hot food at all (e.g. scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, maybe bacon etc.) apart from toast.

Absolutely everything. From the moment we arrived we we treated like family. The accommodation was spotless and spacious. The breakfast was amazing. We were on a motorcycle holiday and the owner drove five of us to a local restaurant and collected us later that evening. I have never slept in such a large or comfortable bed anywhere I have stayed. We arrived soaking wet and were provided with drying facilities for our gear. This is a stately home run by wonderful people.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike. I made a slight mistake and ordered a second opinion on the breakfast menu which was provided without question. When I went to pay for it I was told it was not being charged for. It’s a business but being run like a family home. Exceptional.

We had a lovely one night stay at Killean. We were on a road trip and picked this B&B primarily for the vegan breakfast- which didn’t disappoint! We had the family room which was spacious and perfect for our family of three. The bedding was the most comfortable I have slept under- we joked we would be taking the duvets home! The host was very hospitable, welcoming us, showing us to our room and giving ideas for days out. The breakfast was fabulous- our vegan member loved his full breakfast and those non vegans tucked into a tower of pancakes- very delicious!! We will be returning soon!

We had everything we needed so no complaints from us!

The house was beautiful! Clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful and friendly. It is in a rural area so it was nice to enjoy some peace and quiet. Set in a beautiful location! We were well fueled with a delicious breakfast before we spent the rest of the day exploring the stunning countryside!

Reception was a bit tricky being in a rural area but it can't be helped.

Omg, what a wonderful place to stay in Scotland. We had a great room with a perfect view, a quiet and relaxing night, and a tasty vegan breakfast to start the day. We felt welcome from the minute of our arrival until we left. The owners are thoughtful about everything, from having enough plugs to charge your phone around your bed to making your time in their wonderful guesthouse a pleasant stay.

Not a criticism, just an information for people in a wheelchair or with walking difficulties: The guesthouse is not fully accessible and the pathways are gravels.

Anson and Jen are the best hosts we've ever had. They're welcoming, helpful and go above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need. We wouldn't be able to thank them enough for all they did for us. The house is lovely, located on a hill with beautiful gardens. The rooms are spacious and cozy. Everything was super clean and carefully arranged. The vegan breakfast was delicious. Would totally recommend.

We didn't dislike anything.

A spectacular place with the nicest owners! I was travelling with my 6 years old and after a day trek we found Killean Farmhouse to stay overnight. We were welcomed by Anson, who's just the nicest and most chilled out guy. We were invited to the conservatory with great views to eat our food. The room was great and nicely decorated. The grounds are large, beautifully kept and surrounded by mountains. It's perfectly quiet and peaceful. Inveraray is just a few minutes drive away. We will be back, no doubt.
