Spacious and very comfortable accommodations with a lovely view. USB outlets were available with plenty of counter space. Our room had two leather chairs and a coffee table. We had beautiful china teacups with an electric kettle and an assortment of teas to choose from. Nice bathroom had plenty hot water with great water pressure, and very nice, large bath towels. Delicious hot breakfast that began with a granola fruit cup. We enjoyed meeting Crawford and Janice.
When we visited in September, the outside of this property needed some TLC. Need to do some lawn mowing, weeding and trimming. Either paint or remove patio furniture, paint patio, and keep garage door closed.

My husband and I had never been to Scotland before and we felt our introduction staying at Janice's welcoming country house made it memorably perfect. Janice, the owner personally made our breakfast and her home cooking and presentation was deliciously full of love. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it. Our bed was extremely comfortable and our water view charming. The location was very close to the charming town of Inveraray and the must see Inveraray Castle in walking distance. I took endless pictures to remind me what a special place.
Everything was perfect!

We liked the ambience of the house, nearness to town centre. and the view from our room. The area is so good for exploring. Had often been in Inveraray but only at night as .a gigging musician. Inveraray did look super even then.! It was lovely to explore the town properly with my wife. Creag Dhubh was just a perfect place to stay. Super breakfasts and also places to eat at night in the town. eg Brambles and the George Hotel. We chose Creag Dhubh to celebrate our 62nd Wedding Annversary and hit the Jackpot!
Having only booked for 3 nights.

Beautiful location overlooking Loch Fyne but still walking distance to the little town. The rooms are large airy and the bed comfortable. We booked a room at the front of the house and of course we had that lovely view but we had a little peek in the others and they were all beautifully decorated. Special mention goes to the breakfasts. You’re asked to make a small choice. This to me enables them to concentrate on the sourcing of the ingredients, the cooking and the presentation, all of which is outstanding. Rarely have we had such a wonderful breakfast in a high end hotel, let alone a B & B

Located in a beautiful little town on one of the lochs just outside Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park. It's a beautiful house. We had a room facing the water, which was absolutely lovely! The owners/hosts were absolutely lovely and had very helpful advice. The room was large and comfortable Breakfast was exceptional!
The shower worked fine but was weirdly constructed and equipped In hind sight, we should had chosen a place inside the park, judging by all the driving we ended up doing. But then again, the location did prompt up to go in new directions (like Oban in the west), which was nice

Amazing surroundings. Lovely hosts. The breakfast was amazing as was the room. Super comfy bed, all the facilities you require in the room and the view was outstanding! Super quiet too and the best way to relax.
We were advised to have booked somewhere for dinner in advance which we didn't know about. However we had had a big lunch and so opted to go to the oval co op to get snacks for the room which we loved to do!!

Another fantastic couple of nights here... Made to feel very welcome and nothing was a bother. I was particularly happy to have a ground floor room as I have mobility problems on occasions. I hadn't realised I'd booked without breakfast but I was able to add on when I requested... Cooked breakfast was delicious, high quality produce and roasting hot! View from breakfast room over the loch is stunning! All in all, cannot fault this accommodation, thoroughly recommend it 🥰
Perhaps choice of scrambled/poached/boiled eggs, not just fried for breakfast?

We liked everything about Creag Dhubh, from the friendly welcome onwards. Food, location (there's an excellent traffic-free walking route to the village centre nearby), room, view.
Very little - if I had to pick something, perhaps offer (Scottish) potato scones for breakfast as an alternative to the ubiquitous hash brown.

Lovely house with an equally lovely lounge and nice bedrooms. We stayed here twice, the first time 3 April £137 and 8th April £195 to us that is a lot of money but it was worth it as it is in a beautiful spot beside Lake Fyne and the proprietors keep the place in really good condition. Very comfy bed, easy parking, good breakfast. It is 'a tidy walk' into town.

The location was excellent, with a nice view of Loch Fyne from the window. It was quiet. Website photos are accurate. The room was large enough for two comfortable chairs and a small table at the window. The breakfast room was very pleasant. The owner was friendly and helpful. We would recommend this guest house to other visitors. We walked to nearby locations for dinner.
