This is a beautiful location overlooking the loch. Breakfast was excellent, varied and tastefully presented, with fresh fruit each morning. I loved the upstairs lounge with its books and huge picture window, a calm place to relax and watch the stunning scenery The hotel, had a comfortable and traditional feel, with real keys for the rooms, which I really liked! It closed quite early at night but I was provided with a no fuss key for the main door. The only thing I might have missed was the bar staying open longer, otherwise I had a delightful stay, and couldn’t really have asked for more.

We managed to get to the Creggans with a great deal of difficulty as all the roads were blocked by landslides . It is all credit to this Inn who took in stranded travellers to the extent that the residents lounge was turned into a dormitory for stranded travellers. The hosts went beyond the expectations to cater for all. We enjoyed the thrill of being cut off from the rest of Scotland . The food was good and the atmosphere friendly.

Nothing. These people cannot be praised enough for the way they managed an emergency situation. They never charged the stranded people for accommodation . They only charged for food

The views and the charm of the common zones, the living room downstairs and the one on the first floor are very beautiful. It would be amazing that they would offer the breakfast in the big room after the living room, I haven’t seen it being used and it is such a beautiful zone in the house not to use it.

The building is an old one and it is part of the charm but overall a hotel needs to provide comfort in my view. Windows for example are old, floors are creaky, bathroom outdated. A bit pricey.

All our meals were excellent with generous portions. No issue if eg one egg as opposed to two was requested, nothing appeared a bother. Our room was ideal as not all twin bedded rooms provide a tad more space. All your restaurant staff were cheerful, reception staff helpful and housekeeping assisted with replenishing coffee etc. Our stay was extended due to severe weather conditions cutting village off by flooding and landslides. It was good to see your staff multi tasking when short staffed, again due to weather. Fact that some got into work by tractor and 4x4 vehicles is testament to their commitment not letting owners and guests down. Hope they are paid well which l am sure they are or they wouldn’t have been so committed.

Nothing to dislike.

Location was perfect, lovely views from the lochview bedroom. Liked having a sheet and blankets on the bed as it was better for controlling temperature than a duvet. Staff were very pleasant. Steak pie was fantastic, breakfast had a decent choice.

Would have helped to have more information on local walks, etc provided in the room. Whilst the bedroom was lovely and clean there was a large cobweb and large spider just in the hall outside our room. Lovely big shower in the room but water pressure was not great - just a minor point. Whilst the cooked breakfast was generally nice, the bacon was not freshly cooked, so it was a bit dry.

My mother and I had a fantastic stay here. The Inn is very dog friendly, has a superb breakfast and a truly phenomenal dinner (I stand by my view that their mussels are amongst the best ever). Moreover, the rooms are massive - our two even had their own separate living rooms - and the views of the loch are really wonderful. We had a lovely chat with Jill during our stay, admiring her artwork in the lounge area that really captured the local landscapes and unpredictable weather beautifully, and the staff generally were all as kind and accommodating as ever. I will certainly return again! Thanks for another great stay :)

Nothing.

Lovely little inn with great food and a friendly service. Cosy, comfortable accommodation. Super that we could bring our dog along and that staff were very accommodating with dinner arrangements. Tasty breakfast on both mornings too!

While we completely appreciate there is a Booking.com charge, it was annoying to see that we could have stayed for less had we booked directly with the Creggans Inn. A lesson learned!

Such a relaxing hotel with excellent food and staff. It's great location for day trips to Oban, Inveraray and beyond. Ample parking and a bar with a log fire. It's dog friendly as well. The menu has traditional foods Salman, Scallops, Mussels and Smoked Haddock. Would recommend a visit. We will return that's for sure. Open for Hogmanay if your looking for something different.

We made the reservation at the last minute after there was a problem with our reservation at a different hotel. Now we're really happy the other reservation fell through. Just a couple examples about what made this such a nice surprise: We booked around 6:15pm when we discovered the problem with our original stay. We decided to drive a little further and scrambled to find a place on Booking.com that was on our way to our next destination. The Creggans popped up. It looked fine. We booked. We estimated we'd arrive around 8pm. Soon after we booked, Archie emailed us letting us know the restaurant stopped serving at 8pm, but that they could prepare something for us if we were going to be later than 8pm--SO thoughtful. We go there a few minutes before 8pm and they offered to keep the kitchen open until we were able to drop our bags and get to the restaurant. We were just expecting standard fare, but the food was exceptional! We live in Florida and eat lots of seafood, but the seafood chowder my husband had was truly memorable. He rates it as one of the best meals he's ever had! I had the Cullen Skink (my first Cullen Skink in Scotland) and it was truly tasty! Any other Cullen Skink will have a high standard to meet. The location overlooking Loch Fyne, was really nice. Easy to stroll down to the beach for a walk. Our room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. I had planned this trip meticulously, so it is especially impressive that a place we chose as a last-minute substitute turned out to be such a great find.
