The staff are unbelievable. I truly believe the owners are blessed with whom they've employed. Eva who is a supervisor in the morning for breakfast is an amazing worker who runs a tight ship and shows an exemplary approach to hospitality. I could not fault her in anything and I'm fussy. Es una maquina as we say I'm Spanish. A force of nature. Onward and upward Eva. Also, Sheila, a delightful multilingual Brazilian tour de force that made me feel at home, and I'm Irish! The bedroom, while a bit small, and prone to a tiny bit of noise, was spotless and beautifully equipped. A bit of a gem in a good spot for the hospital but also all the great entertainment and other facilities that this wonderful city has to offer. Well done guys. Pay your workers accordingly I say, they make it what it is and total honesty here, I am just a tourist.

Windows could be a bit more protective of cooking smells and noise. That's all, shouldn't complain, slept great and I have problems I that respect sometimes

Great location Friendly and professional service Free car parking is amazing

Breakfast looked horrendous Tasted good but everything piled on a small plate, rashers underneath the fried eggs, toast beside it dipped in egg yolk. Why not put toast in a basket and some side plates? Full breakfast and small breakfast served on the same sized plate, so full breakfast looked terrible. We eat with our eyes.. Sorry, as a chef of 40 years, still working in a 4 star kitchen, I'm critical of food presentation. Had a lovely beef Moroccan stew in the bar, very tasty, but same again, soda bread on the bowl and no side plates.

The breakfast was excellent. I ordered the eggs Benedict at 8:30am (first guests at breakfast) and it was the best I’ve ever had. The pub was busy at night but cleared out and clean in the am. Our room was TINY but for the purpose of sleeping and showering it was fine. Shower and bathroom very clean. Price was a good deal compared to staying in the city center a short walk away. We walked from the pubs to Sliding Rock around ~12am (0030) and felt safe. Waitress called us a cab in the am and it arrived immediately.

Whatever was outside the window… an apartment or pub? That can’t be helped. We stayed in #8. I liked that the windows open for fresh air.

Small cozy room at the inn, situated on top of the pub. Earplugs are highly recommended if you are a light sleeper, on certain days the events at the pub can run later in the evening. I used earplugs and had zero noise issues. Breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety, including full and half Irish breakfast, porridge, eggs and avocado toast, etc. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

The pub has excellent food, but is often very busy in the evening. Make sure to reserve a table on time, if you plan to have dinner there.

Being above a pub I was worried the noise would be bad late at night but it wasn’t. We could hear some noise but not what I expected. The hotel room was very clean! We had 4 staying in a room and had plenty of room to move around. The staff was very nice! The provided breakfast the next morning which we had to miss because we had to head back to Dublin airport before it was served. The staff told us about a 24 hour breakfast place a few doors down. The hotel was within walking distance to Quay Street and Latin Quarter of Galway - about 10-15 minute walk. There is a side door entrance into the hotel part so you don’t have to go through the pub coming and going. There was free parking behind the pub/hotel.

The beds weren’t very comfortable. You could feel the springs while laying on them.

Nice helpful staff, check in and check out was very straight forward. Had parking out back. Breakfast was very tasty. Room and bathroom was small but we were up for a nite out so all we wanted was somewhere to sleep so it did the job. Place was clean and beds were comfy. Location not bad, taxi cost us €10 on the way into town and €6.50 on the way home (considering traffic)

Not much I could say here other than the room is a bit small if you were planning spending some time in it, but fine for somewhere to sleep at night

I have used this place a good few times, it, 's located exactly where I need to be. g We did have an evening dinner with a fairly good choice of choice on the menu. Excellent food and service the breakfast was just as good. Served with a smile and a very lovely girl. My experience in sliding rock is whatever you want for breakfast. And happy to do an early one too.

I know this place and there is nothing that can be changed it's a perfect place for convenience and good food.

We liked staying close to but not in the mix of downtown Galway. The room was well appointed . The staff were very knowledgeable, helpful and polite. It was a busy night in the restaurant area of the bar but they found room for us and were pleasant. The morning staff who served breakfast really had her organizational skills perfected with having a room full of guests.

People smoked outside our windows. I'm asthmatic and cannot tolerate lung irritant. The smoke infiltration stopped when I closed the window.

The breakfasts were fabulous, lots of options. The room was spotless but a bit small and no chair. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were fantastic except for one barman. Check-in was simple. I must add that breakfast supervisor, Eva, is a gem. Runs the shop imo

A lot of noise from the bar and some fumes from the kitchen in my room. This place is really good entirely due to the staff who were polite to a fault. The owners could do with a bit of upgrading, I think.

Our sleeping room was clean and comfortable. It was conveniently located near the town center. We had a nice dinner with drinks in the pub during the evening and then a nice breakfast in the morning. The food was good both times.

Bathroom was tiny. I had to sit sideways on the toilet to avoid knocking my knees on the sink. After taking a shower, I moved out of the bathroom into the room with the bed to towel off as it was too cramped in the bathroom. This was a minor inconvenience considering everything else.
