The brownstone in Harlem is a convenient walk to neighborhood spots and close to Morningside Park. It also has easy access to express and local trains from St. Nicolas station. This location is comfortable and quiet with easy access to Harlem, Manhattanville, and nearby Columbia University (if you enjoy a short walk with stairs). The owner is helpful in giving an overview of the house, neighborhood, transportation, and providing clear instructions. She generally responds within 24 hours.

There is no one on site most of the time. You have to plan carefully for arrival and departure. This is more like an AirBnB than typical Booking sites.

We had a great stay at Harlem Grand. Kellyn was so helpful and so welcoming. Her BNB is clean, safe, and homey. The best part about staying here vs a hotel was how helpful Kellyn was with tips to get around, staying safe, and the ins and outs of city life from a true local! We were two young Female travelers and Kellyn made us feel safe and prepared to take on the city.

The location is kinda far. We took the subway everywhere and its a good 20-30 min ride to what we wanted to see and do. The subway rides are simple though. There are no crazy transfers, you can ride the A or D train straight to where you would like to go. The only reason we would not stay here again is to be closer to the main attractions, but if you are someone looking to escape the city at night this is the place for you! Also there is no breakfast being served right now due to COVID-19 regulations. I wish this was something we would have know this before booking.

The welcome was lovely and the host explained all the facilities and the area. The bed was super comfy and facilities good for a few nights, including use of a joint refrigerator, kettle, kitchenette etc. A really quiet street with no noise which is hard to find in NY! Real close to the subway station to get everywhere in minutes. Unique place, it felt like staying at home not at a hotel!

Although not too far out as easy subway access, the area wasn’t the best and I wouldn’t venture out at night. Not a tourist area so expected.

We were using this hotel as it was near family living in northern Manhattan. Good price compared to others available.

Nice old house. Different than expected. Very quiet, which is very much wanted in such a noisy city. The host is very friendly and helpful. Very watchful and protective over the property. We left the window open one day and received a message directly to close. Very good.

The house is very old and smells a bit old, but it was clean. The design of the hotel room could be better. It is very full. I am a big person and the bed is pretty narrow for 2 persons.

Wonderful and very special stay in the beautiful historical brownstone. Great location because it's so close to the subway to go downtown. Getting around was a breeze. It was so peaceful and quiet, we could hear the birds in the morning. This is an old house with old furniture that is lovingly taken care of and this explains the rules you have to follow when staying here. It's very special and unique and memorable.

little bit far from the heart of the city but the A train is just down the street so it’s easy enough to get around.

The place is on a nice quiet street with free street parking. The building was easily located by the green lights on either side of the door. The hostess was also very informative and explained the street system of Manhattan which was very helpful in learning how to get around.

The bathroom is very small, but still sufficient for your needs.

This location is great. It's a quiet residential brownstone with everything within walking distance. Bus/subway stations, restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores are all easy walks. The owner is gracious and onsite if needed. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have stayed in. Don't hesitate to stay here. This place is a gem.

This was my first time visiting NYC and I could not have picked a more prefect place to stay. I feel lucky fo have found this gem. The house was beautiful and comfortable. The bed was amazing and the room had plenty of space and was very charming. This is not a typical hotel it's much more homey and warm. Kellin was an amazing host available but not up in your business. The kitchenette had everything i needed for my morning routine. I loved the old fashioned tub as well. I really cannot say enough about how pleasant it was to come back here every day. And the neighborhood was so beautiful. Just walking around and looking at the architecture and hanging out at the park watching all the families was a highlight of staying in this location.
