Staff was extremely hospitable and everything was neat and tidy. It was essentially exactly what I expected for a student accommodation for a short term stay. Plenty of what you need--sheets, towels, cleaning products, toilet paper, etc.

The room was quite small and the lighting wasn't great. The residence is a little far from central Edinburgh, but it's only about a 15/20 minute walk. Also, the bathroom fan and light are automated, and takes a while to turn off after you've left the bathroom. That being said, it was a great location for a solo traveler who is spending much of their day exploring the city, and doesn't need an elaborate place to stay. The pros outweigh the cons, in my opinion.

Great idea to rent out student accommodation during the summer...... Secure parking availbel which was great! Room was OK, relatively small, but suitable for a couple of nights as we were out and about most of the time. Kitchen was down the hallway and had everything we needed..... Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

Room was small but sufficient for sleeping, bathroom also was small but nice to have a private bathroom. There was a communal kitchen and small lounge at the end of the hall and a larger communal lounge near reception ( however there is no public toilet in or near the main communal lounge ) 20-40min walk into the main attractions of Edinburgh, nice safe area with Lidl and Tesco only a short 3min walk away and a great cafe around the corner. We stayed during the Fringe Festival and value for money was great with inflated prices during this time.

Check out was 10am and whilst you could use the communal lounge room there was no toilet that you could use, have to walk to Lidl or Tesco to use their facilities.

The staff were friendly and the room was HUGE. I was not expecting it to be as big as it was. It also had a lot of storage space in the room. It was located close to two grocery stores and there was access for a kitchen and fridge on your floor as well. Laundry facilities were also available which was handy. It's about a 20 minute walk to Princess Street and 25 minutes up to the Royal Mile (uphill) so if you are someone who doesn't mind walking you'll have no problems.

The only thing I didn't like is that I could not store my luggage there when I was waiting for my afternoon flight. They do have a list of storage places though that you can contact.

Easy to find and a great price to be so close to the city centre! Staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean. It's about a 20 minute walk to the train station which was perfect, and close to grocery stores. We didn't take any buses but there were buses available too!

Space was small, shower stall was small, and bed wasn't the most comfortable but we knew all of that going in so weren't surprised by it. Also, after a long travel day and long days exploring the city I still slept well!! Got the job done for an affordable option within the city and we'd book again next time we're in Edinburgh!

Good location, 20 min. walk to the center of the city; buses are according to the schedule, takes appr. the same time. Quiet location, Lidl and Tesco stores are next to the place. Small room but adequate.

Very few plates/pots/cups in the kitchen; plan to bring something with you if you plan to cook in the kitchen. The ventilation fan/light in the bathroom starts right after you open the bathroom door; the fan goes on for a while before it shuts down by itself. Can be annoying if you use the bathroom at night, but we get used to it very quickly.

Excellent value for a few days during the Fringe, v close to Lidl and Tesco for anything we needed and some good pubs and cafes nearby. Not too central but easy to get into town. Basic but clean facilities, felt safe and comfortable. Was a bit worried about being in a shared flat but we weren't disturbed by anyone at all. Check in and check out was fast and easy.

Wish we'd thought to bring a loo roll as there wasn't one in the bathroom so we had to pop to Tesco, but the location was so convenient it wasn't a problem. Extra pillows would have been a bonus but we'd bought a four-pack or bog roll so just used that instead. Room was a little bit too warm and we couldn't open the window fully due to safety features but we still slept really well. Shower ledge was a bit small if you bring more than a bottle of shampoo into the cubicle with you but it was clean and warm.

I liked that it was a student accommodation so you do have access to a laundry room and a kitchenette, that was very handy and good value for what I paid. The staff also provided me with an electric fan which was great during the summer.

The bed isn’t very comfortable, and the pillows are quite thin, it would be difficult if you’re staying longer than a few days. The window in the room doesn’t really open big enough which makes the room a little stuffy in the summer. The location is a bit further out from central, though there are busses that are nearby. Still a good value stay though overall!

Great location, comfortable rooms, nice bathroom and shower, gated parking, roof terrace, very helpful staff. Next to botanical gardens, also tesco and aldi 2 min away. Shared kitchen that was very well equipped. Overall was very comfortable, this is much better than say Pollock Halls but then again a bit more expensive. I would return here.

The staff were so helpful and the facilities so good, I really struggle to find negatives. Best I can do is noisy door closures on some rooms so late guests end up slamming a door but am reaching here.
