This place is an absolute gem. We had a studio with balcony and would very be happy to return! Studio looked even better than in the pics - it was spacious, had super comfy bed, loads of pillows and cushions. Internet was fast, shower pressure strong (with hot water), and the apartment was cleaned everyday. Smart TV and kitchenette were very useful. Kitchen was well equipped and even had filter coffee machine and coffee/tea/sugar provided (however no kettle?). The hotel also provides free water which is great. Location wise it was also very good - less than 10min walk to the ferry, so no need to get taxi. Less than 5min walk to the main beach and town square that is filled with street food in the evenings. Their little online guide was also very useful to us. Over all, it was our favourite stay on this trip to Mexico. We fell in love with Holbox and hoping to come back soon, and will definitely stay at Aurora again.

Kettle in the room would be very useful. We also had issues with water one day.Probably not hotels fault (and it did not impact our stay) as the island has some water problems. However, because staff are not there 24/7 I would advise future guests to keep a large bottle of water just in case you come from the beach and need to have a wash and water is not working.

The room I had was excellent. The island overall was very disappointing, but this place made it better.

The area immediately outside the entrance to the building can be maintained better, particularly the knee-deep puddles of muddy water for arriving customers. Floods should not be a surprise to anyone in this area, I expect business owners to be prepared for this. The entire island is a dead zone for the network provider who happens to be assigned to my Australian SIM card so I was offline for 2 hours before so got to the hotel in pitch black darkness completely drenched and exhausted. I did not appreciate the attitude of the lady who checked me in. When a customer is not happy - arguing is not smart

The location was perfect! In a really quiet road but still 5 minute walk from the city centre and the beach. The hotel was brand new and the room was beyond beautiful. Everyday we found the room cleaned and perfect. They also provide you a cute beach bag with beach towels, they changed them everyday. The staff was very kind and helpful with every question and needs. Last but not least, we loved their Cat, Tora 😍 I can’t wait to be back in Isla Holbox one day!

The room was great, really nice new and clean. Location was also super close to the center which was great even though it’s tricky to walk around when it rains but that’s an overall issue of the island.

The girl at the reception gave us a lot of wrong info which wasn’t great and one day we spilled coffee on the sheets by accident (of course) and we later find out that the hotel makes you pay in case the stains don’t come out - every business has its risks and we found it absurd this would even be an option considering how much we paid for the room as well.

A lovely little hotel. In the main town and just around the corner from the main bars, restaurants and shops so great location. Nice environmentally friendly - no plastics. But lovely shampoos and soaps to use. Towels to take to the beach and bags to use. Everything thought of. Loved my stay here. Staff very helpful booking trips and taxi for my return to the ferry. Highly recommend.

The staff are absolutely incredible and make it feel as the lost personalized stay. Even before your arrival, they are in contact to ensure you are ready for your stay and provide all the details on how to get there. Was there, they provide a full lowdown on what to do in the areas and different restaurants for different occasions. They truly have gone above and beyond to make your stay as personalized as possible. As for the actual room, the hotel is new and beautifully decorated. It is situated in the heart of town which is ideal to walk either to the ferry or to the beach. Beach bags (including towels) are provided by the hotel to enjoy as well. Couldn’t recommend Aurora enough!

Everything was perfect! Wish I stayed longer!

The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Shared fridge , coffee and water were appreciated. Special personal touches in the room, beach bag, beach towels provided. Felt very safe and main door locked. Location close enough to main area but, far enough from any loud music.

Itching to really complain about. Except, Beds a little too hard for my comfort. But, no other complaints.

Visited only for a few days, but it was the coolest place ever. The location was amazing, amenities were absolutely superb. Check in was super smooth. They gave us a free beach bag, you could use sunscreen and WATER machine which was a rarity in different Mexican hotels. It’s probably the nicest looking building in the whole Holbox beach area. Every single aspect of the stay was so well thought of I’m not surprised if this place picks up and becomes Booking.com yearly favorite.

Hire a photographer. The place looks absolutely AMAZING in real life. Current listing photos kind of made me doubt before booking.

Excellent location. So close to the main square and all the restaurants so i could come back to the hotel whenever i needed something and it was just a very short walk! Its a beautiful hotel and the staff keep it very clean. It only has about 7 rooms i believe which is nice as its quieter! You need a code to get in the main door so i felt safer because of that especially because i was alone the first day. Overall very happy with the place and staff:) they also give you a link with a bunch of restaurant recommendations and activities etc which was great and i tried quite a few of them and they were all great recommendations!

Only thing i found the pillows too thick and hard as im a stomach/back sleeper but thats just personal taste!

Super clean, very comfortable bed, incredible staff, and great location! Very quiet street, and just a few blocks away from pretty much anything in the center, and the beach!

Some more sound isolation in the bedrooms would be nice. We could hear other guests slamming doors early in the morning. But no noise coming in off the street, which was good. Didn’t stop us from having an amazing stay.
