This was a beautiful and well appointed property, a five minute scenic walk into the pretty little village of Grasmere. Jacky our host was just lovely and made us feel welcome from the moment we entered. Our bedroom beautifully decorated with a updated modern bathroom, though one of the smaller of the doubles had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay, there was a comfortable lounge for guests which we did use during our stay, an inviting dining room which we enjoyed a delicious breakfast each of the mornings. The Raise View is completely surrounded by the most wonderful scenery. We definitely would recommend this little gem in the Lake District.

Host Jacky was really friendly and welcoming, she let us drop our luggage off early so we could go and explore, and helped us find the best route for our walk and climb during our stay. Location was excellent and good bus links. The breakfast was delicious and the breakfast room lovely. Beautiful views from the room and house, and very well presented. Nice modern bathroom and shower.

A little expensive and the bed could have been more comfortable, we weren't able to sleep very well. Otherwise everything else was excellent.

The room was beautiful, very comfortable and everything we would expect and more to make our stay pleasurable, and with stunning views of the scenery. There was a great choice of breakfast for all tastes and nothing was too much trouble. Favourite part of my day. Proximity to the village was perfect - a 10min stroll to all bars, cafes, restaurants and shops. In particular The Jumble Room. We loved everything about Raise View and will definitely be booking again.

Absolutely lovely place in a very nice village. Many restaurants and hikes near by. Jacky is an amazing host and would give you very nice tips on things to do around. The restaurants suggestions they have on their website and in the room are definitely worth trying. We loved our stay and we’re lucky that we got the room as they have 5 rooms only and is mostly booked out. Oh, and super nice fresh breakfast each morning :)

Wi-Fi signals in the rooms can be improved.

Jacky was the perfect host :-) We enjoyed outstanding views, a garden with seating and a lovely breakfast room to enjoy the perfect breakfast. Jacky works hard to meet the dietary requirements of her guests. There is also a lovely separate sitting room. We stayed in the Helm Crag room which was cosy with all needs carefully thought out. The king sized bed was very comfortable with beautiful views of the fells and meadows from the window. The modern en-suite was perfect. Everything in this property is spotless.

Good location, quiet rooms, comfortable bed, and clean room. The breakfasts were great, our host Jackie was very helpful and accommodating. We also liked the fact we had full control over the heat in our room. Other places only have the heat on during certain hours, and we’ve found those rooms can be cold.

Edge of village location is ideal. Very quiet side road and fields and mountain views at the back. Decor throughout was of a high quality and provided comfort in all areas of the building. The host (Jacky) is very welcoming, friendly, and full of suggestions for walks, restaurants, etc. The choices for breakfast suit all tastes and were delicious.

Nothing in the accommodation needs improvement. Great care is needed when reversing out of the parking area but this is not in the control of the host

A gem of a B&B in a beautiful village location. Every little detail was thought of, from wonderful tea and coffee making facilites in the room and gorgeous bathroom toiletries. 10 minutes walk into the centre of Grasmere and all the fabulous cafes and places to eat and browse. Walks on the doorstop. Immaculately clean and beautiful bedroom - 5 start standard accommodation. Our host was so friendly and helpful and we had wonderful breakfasts too. We will be back :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Raise View House, Jacky was the perfect host, warm and friendly with a great eye for detail. Our room was superb, tastefully furnished, ultra clean, with all facilities, and stunning unbroken views across to the fells,we would definitely recommend Raise View, and look forward to returning 👍

The journey home

Grasmere is a a town that is central in Lake District and really convenient to get to many places and is a charming little town by itself and the property is situated at a convenient but not too bustling spot. I also liked the effort that was put in to use teas and coffees from Lake District producers and also the Herdy Sheep Teaware, really elevates the experience!

Room was at the most top floor so there was a bit of difficulty with the luggage - but no big issue. Was also expecting 10/10 breakfast from the reviews but i think the cook has since left and while the breakfast was fresh, taste wise it is a little disappointing.
