The location is excellent. Fantastic breakfast. Excellent wi-fi. Brand new hotel with a modern feel.

The shower and cubicle is not set-up for a comfortable showering experience. How it's been installed means the floor, floor mat and anything else on the floor gets a good drenching. Also, the soap and shampoo dispensers have been installed to high. I am tall and found them difficult to use. If you are short you will have no chance at all as the shampoo just runs of your hand. Finally, the silicone sealant that seals the glass cubicle will never leak, but is hideously ugly. Yes, you may have guessed that I'm a plumber by trade but every little detail counts in a hotel of this grandour.

The hotel was amazing ,staff were so friendly and accommodating we needed cutlery and plates when we ordered a takeaway and they gave it to us .we didn’t feel like we burdened them .i loved the security measures in place ie:lifts are only assessable via a room card so no one can just wonder into the hotel .I didn’t wanna leave as the bed was so comfortable ,the shower was amazing too

Could have done with more water bottles to fill the kettle and the tea/coffee station to be stocked up more because I had to ask for more milk and sugar but I’m sure if asked they would be provided plus it would be nice if there was Netflix and more tv Channels to watch

Modern facilities, excellent staff, fair prices, brilliant location, & overall a wonderful experience throughout. Will definitely be returning!!

Bar, breakfast and restaurant staff were very friendly and welcoming. Excellent location for the AO Arena. Breakfast and dinner were good quality. Room was clean and appeared relatively recently decorated.

There is an annoying lack of storage in the bedroom. The room is large and has lots of space but there is very little shelving/storage and no coat hooks. The bathroom has nowhere to hang and dry towels. May not be such an issue if guests are staying just one night but when staying for longer, the room facilities do not meet needs.

Hotel staff was really friendly and the breakfast was basic, but delicious. Loved the bed, it was cozy, warm and so soft. Location was perfect. Also our room was high so the view from the big window was amazing.

Our shower was broken and it gave only so hot water that u cant stand under it. We said about it ar the desk and the was said to go to maintenance. We left to the town and came back, the shower wasnt fixed in same evening. We went to say about it again when we left out. We were offered a new room, but at that point we were waiting our uber and agreed that we will change it in the next morning. Aftern we ate breakfast we said about the shower to the desk, she said that someone can check it and within an hour it was fixed under 5minutes. It was unfortunate that we had to wait a day for the shower to be fixed. No-one said anything about it after the first morning we said about the shower. But anyways thats only bad experienxe we had.

Really clean, well designed hotel. Rooms aren’t huge but they have been styled and equipped nicely. Bathroom nice and spacious and importantly - clean. Rooms were well sound proofed and beds comfy. Breakfast was very good (we opted for the £10 offer when you prebook.) There were some sealed and packaged gluten free items available which was great, but I didn’t use the toaster as there wasn’t a sign making it clear for guests not to put gluten bread in there. All the staff were super friendly, whether that was messaging in advance with questions, checking in or the restaurant staff. Super close location to the AO arena - we parked at the arena itself which is 5 minute walk away.

Central location, really easy for AO arena and all the amenities/bars etc. Parking was close by (Deansgate North). All in all very efficient check in, rooms were clean with coffee/tea, biscuits, hairdryer, iron, safe, shower gel/shampoo etc. When I booked it mentioned a deposit would be taken but this never happened, which was good. Staff were polite and friendly. Would stay again.

Rooms were very warm and I didn't know how to change the setting (especially in middle of night). Can't comment on breakfast as we popped to a nearby coffee place for pastry in the morning which I think worked out cheaper, I guess it depends what you want in the morning.

Screens to book in and book out seemed pointless. Reception staff point customer to them and then they still had to go back to their desk to deal with check in. This was after already checking in online prior to arrival! Didn’t receive a message or an email to say room was ready even though we went back after 4pm (arrived there initially at 2.35 but hotel check in 3pm) Hotel charge £20 extra for early check in. Wine in hotel bar not sufficiently chilled. Bar staff said she had filled it up yesterday so all bottles same temperature. Offered us ice cubes! Only one chair in room for two people

The hotel is nicely located close to Manchester Cathedral and within walking distance of the city centre. Maldron Hotels always have a nice vibe and are furnished with great attention to detail. The rooms were comfortable, featuring a large bathroom, which added to the overall experience. Breakfast offered a good selection of choices, but for a longer stay, it did feel a bit repetitive. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I would recommend this hotel for its location, comfort, and atmosphere

The view was nothing special – it looked out onto a nearby building rather than the city.

Great central location. Situated a couple of hundred yards from the cathedral, bars and the shops. So much to see and do in the area. Hotel was nice and clean. Shower was lovely and the bed was so comfy. Staff were very helpful. Will return next time we're in Manchester

We didn't know that maldron cathedral is the sister hotel to maldron central. We went to the wrong hotel first, and had to carry our luggage about a mile to the correct hotel. This didn't spoil our trip though, it was simply a small inconvenience.
