The property is an interesting one in the little village of Berwick St. James, not far from Stonehenge. Michael has lived in the home for many years, and has some 5 or 6 rooms; we used only 2 and no one else was there. The gardens are pretty with old Roman busts on pedestals that have been sitting there for awhile, a wonderful variety of plants, a small bridge with small stream running through. We walked down through the meadow to town and back along the road, about 20 minutes or so. Wonderful hospitality and lots of family pictures around. Good breakfast, made to order. Comfortable beds, showers, and good private views from our rooms.
We enjoyed our overnight stay; a good place to rest after visiting the henge and about. Had a bit of difficulty initially finding it, since the sat nav took us a couple of building away from the entrance.

A lovely location - an ancient Mill House on the banks of a river in an archetypal Wiltshire village. Michael, the host (and an excellent one at that!) is well established here and and it's fortunate he has decided to share! The rooms are very individual and all well appointed. The only meal available is breakfast but everything is available to individual taste and Michael cooks the Full English himself if you fancy that! We had dinner in the local, The Boot Inn (another excellent venue) both nights we stayed - it's literally just 5 minutes walk away at the other end of the village.
To be honest I can't think of anything that I didn't like!

The setting on which the property sat is exquisite with a stream running right in front with access gained by walking across a mini bridge. Our room was perfect. The bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was spot on and Michael, the owner, was delighted. He was friendly, welcoming and spent time talking about the history of The Mill House, which has been a bed and breakfast since 1960 when Michael's late mother started the business. We can't wait to come back again.

The house and location were lovely. Very quiet, peaceful, and picturesque. The facilities were excellent and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was tasty, delicious, and well presented. The host Michael was friendly and very helpful. He chatted with us about the history of the house and the surrounding area, which we both found very interesting. We had a great stay and would highly recommend this accommodation. We feel it was great value !
There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Mill House: Good old England, like in a picture book, as part of a fairy tale book. An enchanting rose garden with cozy corners, arbors, small pavilions, a pond and a crystal clear river. A house with its very personal character, a jewel! We spent four nights in one of the four rooms, with windows on three sides, a large bed with a higher based comfortable mattress and modern sanitary facilities. A house full of history and stories, but - no ghosts ;-). Michael was a perfect host who lovingly looked after us and our needs, can tell a lot about the area and history, is happy to help and advise his guests and serves a breakfast that lacks nothing. We felt very comfortable!
Sorry, nothing !

This is an exceptional B & B run by and exceptional family. It is like entering a home, each room decorated with a personal flavour, full of colour and interest. It is not functional but a particular type of luxury like staying in an enchanted English cottage where the fairies play. To enter the premises you have to cross a small wooden bridge over the brook that runs along the property. The garden is absolutely stunning and huge. It is a chalk brook with flowers and vegetation not seen in most places of running water. Swans and their cygnets swim along looking beautiful. The owner is quite happy for you to investigate, sit, walk enjoy all of the couple of acres. The garden wafts subtle perfumes throughout. A beautiful kind place.
I liked it all -

We felt very welcomed by Michael and gave us a lot of information, including the history of the watermill close by. He contacted the nearby pub (The Boot Inn - highly recommended for cosiness, good food and local beer) to book a table for us. The breakfast was excellent and was able to cater special dietary requirements without any problems. A nice quiet setting, and quite close to Stonehenge.
Nothing to add!

The location is gorgeous and peaceful and Michael the host is charming and knowledgeable about the local area witch helps immensely for a first time lil stay in the area.
All though the house is on the main road it's not visible from the road so went strait past it first time as far as I could tell there's only 2 signs on the gate that are hard to see from the road telling you it's the mill house. But once found you will never forget where it's.

Absolutely FABULOUS!!!! Michael, the host, was wonderful. He maintains his large property with a huge gorgeous garden incredibly well with a creek passing the house which is from the mid 18th century. Absolutely quiet, the little village has a population of 150. We had a HUGE room, probably 400 square feet with bath room and the breakfast was awesome! Just under 4 miles to Stonehenge which was the reason for our stay. Would recommend it HIGHLY!
NOTHING! Everything was perfect

The breakfast was a full English breakfast and it was delicious! Of course, proper tea was on tap. Michael is a delightful English gentleman and his home is filled with heart-warming family and English history, as well as a lovely Georgian garden adorned with beautiful birds. I filmed a pheasant from the bedroom window. Parking was easy and area is calm. It is located only 10 minutes from Stonehenge. My stay at the Mill House was wonderful and I hope to return next year.
I can't think of anything that I did not like. I enjoyed it all.
