Nice spacious bedroom. Clean and tidy. Liked the bathroom but it was a disabled room on the first floor. Couldn’t be used for disabled as the lift was out of action. Had a meal in the restaurant which was very nice but they couldn’t cope with my wife’s dairy allergy. Had to have meals with missing items. Their idea of coping with allergies was by omission rather than substitution. Spent more on the meal for two than on the cost of the room including breakfast!

They were unclear as to what was included and not included when it came to breakfast. They need to up their game when dealing with people with allergies

Beautiful building and rooms, very comfortable and strong airco that worked well during a heatwave. Staff was nice.

The restaurant is woefully understaffed and a what should have been a 30 minute lunch took 2.5 hours. The food was good, but I 100% do not recommend the restaurant if you don’t have time to waste. My colleagues and I ordered the set menu, otherwise we would have left.

Location excellent 8 mins walk to Baron's court station. Breakfast buffet was an excellent spread. Room (in loft) was very spacious and very clean.

Made several calls to reception to notify them of late arrival and on street parking nearby, but it was always engaged and did not ring back. Not an issue in the end! Breakfast was included in our booking, but was advised cooked breakfast was an additional gbp10per person, so we just had the buffet.

We were in Room 2 which is across from reception. Roo. Was very quiet, never heard any noise from outside the window or from reception. Room was one of the smaller rooms available but there was plenty of room and lots of storage. Iron available in the room. Bed was SO comfy, and the AC was great considering how hot it was in London. Very close to Barron Court underground. Nice area, always felt very safe even coming back after midnight.

The only let down was the breakfast. We paid £50 more when booking to have breakfast included. We didnt realise this was continental breakfast. If we had know we would have just paid the £15 each per day for a cooked breakfast instead. You had to ask for toast and you get 1 slice each! Quite ridiculous. I heard people asking for more but it took too long to get, and honestly you should just be given 2 slices each to start with. I would never pay £12.50 each per day for a continental breakfast. I would much rather go out and get something cooked for a similar price. It should be made clear on booking that its a continental breakfast.

Gorgeous building. Really different from the norm premier inns and that ilk. Staff pleasant at check in. Nice little toiletries in the room. Husband said bed was the best (teeny bit hard for me). Overall clean. Loved the history of the place. Bargain price for London. Bus stop opposite no. 9 straight to South Kensington. Not really much about the actual hotel,shops are at least 10 mins walk away. Barons court tube also about 10 minutes walk.

Our room (11) was on the main road..whilst it wasn't too loud there was road noise. Despite it saying a non smoking hotel there was a strong smell of cigarettes in the corridor leading to room. It was clean but there were a few bits in the room needing attention..grouting a bit black and the wood under the sink needs replacing. Didn't agree with the deposit ( never paid at any other hotel) waiting for it to be repaid...

The bathroom, with heated floor and night light, and walk-in shower were lovely. The room, room view and hotel building in general were characterful, unique and cosy. We loved the fact that our long train journey into London included one change at Clapham Junction to reach Kensington Olympia and then we could just walk 10 minutes to the hotel.....no hassle with tube, bus or taxi.

Sadly the kitchen had a problem on the second morning so an optional cooked breakfast was not available - however, the continental spread was very good, and both the coffee and croissants (two of my personal measures for quality) were excellent.

It was overall a great stay, the location was nice, close enough to the tube which was nice. it was quiet, (minus an outdoor patio party) but that was during the day and we weren't staying in our room for that long. Mostly clean minus a few stains on the chair. Loved the towel warmer and the shower pressure was nice.

The bar services was slow, We went in for a nightcap and the bartender cared more about cleaning up then the customers in the bar room. We would have had time to order food but we waited for so long he said that the kitchen was closed so we had to UberEATS instead.

Our room was very nice, comfy beds, temperature control was good, shower excellent, quiet and got a good night's sleep. With our breakfast being so delayed (see below) we were no way making checkout by 11am, so they extended it to 12pm for no added cost which was appreciated.

Breakfast was a bit of a joke. We ordered our hot breakfast at 10:15am and it was served to us at 11:25am. The staff needed to move us to be able to start setting up lunch before our meal had arrived. I ordered poached eggs, I was told there was an "error" in the order when it turned up with cold boiled eggs that were clearly from the continental breakfast table that had been out all morning. Who know what was going on in the kitchen, would not recommend if you are in a rush in the morning.

Excellent location being near tube stations plus on the bus route to/from Paddington Station. Plenty of shops, cafes, etc within easy walking distance. The room was much larger than expected and the beds were comfortable. A decent shower that didn’t flood the bathroom floor. Staff were helpful, plus they were able to store our luggage both before check-in and after check-out. We would certainly consider staying here again.

The telephone in the room had a flashing green light that was difficult to block out at night, but we mentioned this to staff and they will review this. The option to be able to recycle paper, metal cans, etc. would be good as there were no obvious collection points nearby.

The hotel is amazing. A short walk away from Hammersmith's bustling centre, it's an oasis of calm located next to St Paul's gardens. The hotel itself is very attractive, and we were greeted every time we came and went by friendly, professional staff members. The room was exceptionally comfy and clean, and catered to all our needs, with team, coffee, and useful extras such as a dental kit and various shower gels and creams. All in all, it was a lovely place to stay and we would gladly return.

The breakfast, while tasty, is overpriced for what it is. It's a nice restaurant and, perhaps it was just the day we stayed, but it was rather empty, suggesting other guests felt the same way. Certainly, with Hammersmith so close, there's no shortage of alternative options. Nevertheless, it's a shame, because with a little more thought as to pricing, it would be ideal. The bar could also stay open a little later. We attended a concert just up the road, and it were back by 11:30 - it would have been nice to have a drink to cap off the night. These are, however, minor issues in an otherwise lovely stay.
