Having decided to take the Wife away for a weekend of exploring in Bath I wanted to make sure we stayed in quality accommodation and The Dorian House Boutique guest house surpassed(and by a country mile) all my wife’s and I’s expectations! From the moment we arrived Bradley was on duty to welcome us and kindly offered to help with all our bags into reception. Dorian house is captivating and it embraces you from the moment you enter. After a brief but informational welcome talk from Bradley he showed us to our room(12) which is on the ground floor but high enough to look out to the City. The room itself is classy with the main features being the four poster bed and free standing wrought iron bath tub in the bedroom also. The bathroom was ideal with plenty of space and a double width power shower. The lovely little extras like the Nespresso machine, biscuits and chocolates impressed the Wife immensely. Breakfast is excellent too and having a staggered sitting time means Bradley and the team can cater for your every need swiftly and in a way where nothing is too much trouble. The fact that the Dorian use local quality suppliers makes the breakfast top quality in every way. At this mornings breakfast Bradley asked me what I would like to order and my response was..” Room 12 in 6 months time please!?”😂 To conclude on behalf of myself and my very happy Wife I would just like to say Thank you to all the team at the Dorian but especially to Bradley for all your help and advice as to making the most of our time exploring Bath and for making us feel so welcome. We WILL be back!👏👏👏

The room and the property, a beautiful old house, were great. We had a top floor room which was very clean and comfortable. It is on a hillside above Bath, an easy walk down across a bridge to the city center. Walking back up was not a challenge for this 70-ish couple, not even the first time with our bags.. Thankfully the weather cooperated. We came in by train, planing to rent a car when we departed for the rest of our trip around Wales. We didn't park (there were spaces) or take the breakfast. Bath itself was spectacular; we saw it all on foot, and it was great. The locals were wonderful, and are rightfully proud of their beautiful city.

This isn't a complaint, just a comment: We generally start the day with a modest breakfast, so the standard breakfast, which I assume was Full English, didn't seem a good value for us. We walked to Diana's Cafe near the train station, which had all we needed. When it came time to call for our ride to the car rental, they couldn't find the place, which seemed odd. One of the staff at Dorian House cheerfully got on the phone and helped straighten them out.

Wow, this B&B completely exceeded my expectations. It’s a beautiful building, well decorated and feels homely. The staff are just amazing they can’t do enough to make sure you have everything you need and they clearly know the city extremely well. Their recommendations were a hit every time. Particular thanks to Brad for recommending the salamander for a roast dinner. The breakfasts are plentiful, cooked to order and tasty. Location is great, short walk into central bath. We didn’t use our car the entire weekend. The little touches are what makes this place. Thanks for a lovely stay, we’re already thinking of excuses to come back.

The breakfast was excellent, and we appreciated the complimentary parking, although it might be a tight fit for less experienced drivers. The rooms were beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. 3 large windows allowed for ample natural light, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. Nice shower, stable internet connection and we enjoyed the complimentary sweets. The honesty bar was a convenient addition, offering a variety of snacks and drinks.

Nothing comes to my mind except for the hotel was slightly farther from the city center than anticipated, but it was still within walking distance.

A beautiful property in a quiet location with free parking within 15-20 mins walk to the centre of Bath. Loved the roll top bath in our room & there were even bath salts provided. Breakfast was delicious with locally sourced food. We realised we would be arriving after reception closed & staff responded quickly to our messages informing us where to park & letting us know self check in details.

Guests (particularly those with mobility issues) should be aware that the property is situated up quite a steep hill from the centre of Bath. However it’s quite easy to get an Uber if you don’t fancy the walk back.

The property was lovely, really cosy, facilities were great and it was only a short walk into the city centre, which was fantastic!

I booked an ‘executive double room’ but we were given twin beds- my single bed was very squeaky and firm, so I didn’t find it comfortable- every time I got up to go to the bathroom it would make a loud noise. We also only had a double diver between us and when the bed was made the duvet only just met the edges of the bed. When we were both laying down, the middle of the two beds caused a bit of a barrier and the duvet couldn’t cover us both, so it was two very uncomfortable nights sleep for me.

We had a one-night stay in a cosy double on the top floor. The room and facilities were great and the view tremendous. We wondered if a double bed would be a squeeze, being used to a much larger one at home, but it was very comfortable and plenty big enough. We had an excellent night’s sleep. The staff were lovely.

The room came with a very useful, multiple USB socket, but as with every hotel I’ve ever stayed in, it was on one side of the bed only, which is not so great when two people each have a bunch of tech gadgets. I’m nitpicking here though, it was a lovely stay.

Good choice at breakfast and happy to have it served rather than it being a half, self service affair. We were ugraded on arrival to a four poster room, which was a good size and had pleasant views. The bathroom was clean and big enough. It's always good to have friendly staff but Brad was especially welcoming, friendly & helpful, which made a real difference - Thank You!

The bathroom would benefit from brighter lighting, more shelving for toiletries (though not really an issue for one night) and also, whilst parking wasn't an issue for us, it could well be if the hotel was busier!

Location to Bath is wonderful, staff is warm and friendly. Bedroom # 10, bottom floor, is stunning, updated and spotless. Bed very comfortable and this room even has a bespoke private patio. The shower has very strong water pressure as well. Overall just a warm welcoming atmosphere which would be an excellent base for exploring not only Bath, but all throughout the Cotswolds. Plenty of parking available. Also offered is an honesty bar which is very convenient. I highly recommend and will definitely stay again while in Bath.
