The location was amazing, easy walking distance for everything. 10mins walk to train, 30mins to castle. 1 min walk to Rose Street, which has loads of bars and restaurants, etc. The apartment was really clean and looks newly refurbished. The main reason I ended up choosing this apartment was the fact that it has a lift. All the buildings are so tall in Edinburgh and at least 5/ 6 storeys high. I would highly recommend it. We stayed in and cooked a few meals, and the kitchen was the best equipped we have ever had. Everything worked well and high end. A co-op 5mins walk and tesco 10mins walk away, gave us everything we needed. We slept really well, tit was very quiet all the time.
The only negative was as you approached the front door, as its down a quiet side street it all looked a bit grubby outside with lots of bins from other buildings etc. First impression aren't great from outside but as soon as u walk in the door it's all nice and clean. But I'm not really sure the owners can do much about this.

The apartment was very clean, nicely decorated, close to a lot of attractions, I really liked having to use a pin opening the doors instead of keys. The bathroom was spacious and very clean, loved the bath products, smelled nice, they provide enough toilet tissue and towels, most places just give you two and don’t refill, they did, The thermostat is a plus, it’s nice to be able to control the room temperature and the heating works well,
The street it’s on, lots of bins outside, there was a homeless person sleeping outside the main entrance on the 25th, and it being a holiday the bins were overflowing, not a nice sight but just a minute walk and you are right in town and it was beautifully decorated that it made up for the rest.

The apartment was extremely clean and conveniently located. We appreciated having a washer/dryer, large refrigerator and a room safe. The water pressure was great and the hot water was very hot. The furnishings were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with ample dishes, cookware, etc for our needs, and everything was in good condition. The building is well maintained and the area was quiet. The check in process was communicated clearly and sufficiently prior to check in so that we would have had time to contact the property if we had any questions. The check out process was also very easy. It was only a 7 minute walk to the bus station. There were great restaurants within one block of the apartment and a grocery store about 5 minutes walk away. We would definitely stay here again.
It would be helpful to include operating instructions in the guest book for the washer/dryer. We were not used to the single unit set up so we had to look up the model and download a manual in order to use it properly.

The location was superb, right in the centre of town. The room was warm, a perfect size for the two of us and had enough space to chill. The cooking facilities were great so we could make our breakfast before exploring and had a washing machine and dryer so we could prep for our next spot. The cleanliness of the room was outstanding! It was the first place we stayed on a 4 week trip and definitely set the bar high. We would definitely stay here again when coming back.
Another power point in the bathroom would have been helpful and the stairs/lift was really narrow but these seem like such insignificant things when the rest of the stay was great.

The location is fantastic – everything is super close, including attractions and great restaurants. The atmosphere is cozy, and the apartment had everything we needed, even an elevator. However, we did have to carry our large suitcase up a few steps. Overall, we are very satisfied with our stay!
One thing that could be improved is the kitchen supplies. Since there's a kitchen, it would be great to have small items like cooking oil and basic spices such as salt and pepper. When staying for just a few days, buying large jars doesn't make much sense

Spacious, modern and quiet location. Excellent temperature controls, possibly the best ever experienced. Very responsive and helpful hosts. Also, good proximity to tourist sights and buses, plus great restaurant offerings close by.
Expected more, given promotion as a premium apartment. In particular, an extremely small TV for a 5m viewing distance (wall clock was bigger), internet speed sometimes dropping to 60 Mbps, small wobbly dining table, some maintenance issues (e.g toilet half flush and sticky bathroom door), and disappointing attitude to not wanting to replenish the few coffee-machine pods half way through a 1 week stay (yet towels were laundered unnecessarily). Extremely irritating 'safety" features such as having to open and close internal doors, typically 4 times when transitioning from lounge to bedroom / bathroom and back. Also, the extremely slow elevator, combined with loud voice information and warnings at nauseum.

We came to Edinburgh to attend The Fringe Festival. We were just close enough that we could walk to all the Fringe sites, but just far enough that we didn't have any of the noise. The neighborhood restaurants were filled with locals, and they were great. There are several grocery stores, all within 2 or 3 blocks. Cooking our own breakfast, lunch, or late night snacks was easy. Finally, this place has a lift!
It was a bit difficult finding the apartment building. There is a Thistle Street but the apartment is at 23 Thistle Street SOUTH WEST Lane, which is this little lane that looks like an alley off of Thistle. Once we found it, it wasn't a problem.

We stayed in one bedroom, it's a huge size apartment with a very big bathroom. Great location, 10 minutes walk from the old town. It was very clean. Impeccable kitchen even though we didn't use it. Easy check in using only codes (no physical keys required). Apartment had lifts which is great if you have lots of luggage. Few points: Bath tub was a bit high, could potentially be an issue for children or eldery people TV in the living room is extremely small, suggest they could upgrade to a bigger one for even better experience You will have to do 3 steps down and 3 steps up to get to the lifts. For people with mobility issues could be a challenge.
Nothing. Everything was great for us.

Property was clean and comfortable. Location was ideal.
We did not have access to our email account until we had wifi access. The binder should have all property instructions included in the binder and updated. We are not familiar with boilers and therefore we were not comfortable with touching the equipment as per instructions. The apartment was therefore on the cool side. I would suggest housekeeping to have it up and running so we only need to control the temp using the thermostat. The hot water tap in the first floor bathroom did not work. Although water trickled out, it was never hot. The beds advertised as king size were on the small size. Not sure is European king size is smaller than North American.

We have stayed with Destiny Scotland a couple of times now and we cannot fault them. We have stayed in two different apartments and both have been excellent, very clean and beautifully presented. This is the first time we have met the staff by using the bag storage facility at their office. They were all very lovely and friendly. Destiny Scotland will likely be our first choice when booking accommodation for our future getaways to Edinburgh.
