I arrived Christmas Day and the staff was welcoming, friendly and super helpful in getting me settled in. The interior reminds me of vintage Victorian, almost like walking into history, I really admired it. It is clearly well maintained and cared for. There are plenty of restaurants and shops withing walking distance, for some a decent stretch of the legs, but worth it. There is also the option of the pub on site which is excellent, I recommend the steak sandwich - absolutely delicious accompanied by some lovely chips, crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside - perfection in the chip world. My room was clean, the bed extremely comfortable and I had a wonderful en suite bathroom - which you do need to request otherwise you will have to use a shared one with other guests. I found it to be excellent value to cost and a very good choice of place to stay.

I think the only criticism I would have is that there is no lift, which is not really a problem as it's only two stories, but if you have heavy luggage or a lot of luggage just plan for that. Also, if you are not a fan of sharing a bath, make sure and get a room with an en suite.

The room was clean. The style of accommodation was good being an older hotel, it had décor that suited the type of building. Although it was an older building, the rooms had some modern amenities such as the aircon, television and the bathroom was updated.

I used the iron and ironing board, but I didn't actually know where it was and had to go searching and found it was not in the room. Information on where to find would be more helpful.

Old rustic property however the rooms have been renovated beautifully. Massive shower, bed and all you needed for a one night stay that’s close to the airport.

Only complaint I would have is upon check in it was confusing as to where to actually go- the 3 young girls at the desk took their time to notice me standing there waiting and were quite unprofessional arguing over who ‘had’ to take me up to my room and grab the key to show me. I get it I was young once too but do your job lmao. A lot of doors and stairs to go through to get to the room so would be great if there was an elevator or someone to help take your heavy luggage up for you!

Great location, close to the Airport and easily accessible via public transport. The rooms were spacious and provided all the necessary amenities inside. I booked a shared bathroom room, which for solo travellers or those on a budget is very appealing, with a good amount of main bathrooms with toilets to use without much hassle. I loved how clean and updated the rooms and bathrooms were! They have a straightforward check-in and check-out process, with very good security and after-hours access. The pub downstairs is really nice, with an old Art Deco feel. Nice and quiet too, the staff were super helpful. Highly recommend!

It would be good if they could add a soap tray or shower caddy in the showers for convenience. A swipe card entry would have been a nice touch, but I didn't mind having to use an actual key to open the doors.

Very friendly and helpful personal! Thanks! The room was clean, additionally equipped with a fridge and tea set. A bathroom is modern. The lobby with nice old furniture elements makes the place feel authentic.

You might hear some music or conversations during weekend evenings, as the pub placed downstairs. It wasn't bad, just needs to be mentioned for those who's looking for calmer places. :)

The hotel staff were tremendous in particular Lachie. Give that man a raise. Please take care of my bike while away.

At the bar they should have hooks to hang your jackets like in Serbia.

Love the convenience of being close to the airport. This is our go to hotel .Plus the best sleep as their beds are super comfy ,great food and lovely staff ! The shared bathrooms are super clean modern and fresh . Highly recommend for the price

Probably just having to get your suitcases up and down the stairs might be difficult for some but other than that NOT A THING !!

Great place with super atmosphere! We loved lively Friday evening and having a dinner in the pub :)

Unfortunately, Saturday early morning (about 5 am) the noise of the cleaning was too loud. We couldn’t sleep.

Great city adjacent location, convenience of the pub downstairs, food and drink available during hours. Approx 5 minutes walk to the nearest servo and 10 minutes to the nearest shops, public transport at your door. Wifi worked and was good. All the shared facilities were not mind blowing but they were clean and tidy.

Friday, Saturday night was a bit noisy in the room until late with the pub crowd but to be expected it’s a pub after all.

The food was sensational, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere, great service and great staff 👍 👏 👌
