We travel a lot and are used to the fact that receptionists in hotels are always smiling, friendly and kind. At the Polonia hotel, looking at the receptionists, you might think that their very beloved dog died yesterday. And we, the guests of the hotel, are the main suspects in the poisoning of the dog. There were no smiles, no friendliness. Although the receptionists performed their duties well.

The apartment was very clean and traditional. The cleaners were in everyday. And nothing was to much for them. Tea & coffee was supplied however no milk. We stayed during the month of December and the room was lovely and warm. The apartment was only a 10 minute walk to main square and was opposite a tram stop and the train station. There was a lovely modern shopping centre opposite and Mavericks hotel of which you could have a all you could eat buffet breakfast for approx £16 .

Only dislike was no lift. We were situated 3rd floor and 90 steps to apartment. I would suggest requesting 1st or 2nd floor rooms when booking. Please be careful when crossing the main road from apartment and use the pedestrian crossing as you will receive a £10 fine if caught by Police

Very good location: right across the train station square, with many trams/buses right across the street. The room is spacious and quiet (courtyard view). Airconditioning is very good. Not sure if these were due to my upgrading of the room with some extra fees. Having breakfast and picking up/dropping off key in the neighboring hotel doesn't cause any inconvenience. Breakfast is not gorgeous but more than adequate. The breakfast space in pretty large so one doesn't have to wait for a table. A note to the first-time guests: the window curtain is clipped to the rod so don't pull the curtain too forcefully. Actually it's better to just use the curtain cord rope to open the curtain instead of trying to pull them aside, because the curtain can be easily pulled off the clip. If a curtain is pulled off the clip, there is no way to fix it because the window is quite high. Every morning I saw the cleaning steward had a tall ladder ready, presumably to re-clip window curtains.

Clean and tidy rooms and bathroom was modern. Breakfast was plentiful and beds comfortable. Couldn't hear other guests. Reception and breakfast is next door in the hotel polonia but signs up telling you that. Reception open 24hrs which is good for late arrivals.

Our room was on the front so quite noisy with the tram stop right outside, couldn't leave the window open due to this noise. Husband had to download an app to turn the air con on. It switched itself off through the night though so he had to keep waking up and switching back on. Not sure if we were doing it wrong?

Overall, a pleasant stay! The room and bathroom were clean, although a small fridge would have been useful. Breakfast offered a good variety, from hearty options to sweet treats, but there were no lactose-free or vegan choices at the buffet. The location is fantastic – close to the main square, train and bus stations, and a large shopping mall.

I had a ground-floor room facing the garden and could still hear the tram and people on the stairs, so light sleepers may want to be prepared. Personally, I always use earplugs, so it didn’t bother me much.

Uber pick up location. I believe due to the train tracks, one could not be picked up in front of the hotel, but even in the area where Ubers are allowed to park, our Uber driver ended up getting a ticket from the police!!! It was so crazy. He wasn't even waiting that long and supposedly that area was where Ubers and taxis can wait for their passengers but this event happened. That is one aspect that was a bit inconvenient and uncomfortable for us.

Great location, just a few minutes' walk to the old city center. My room was very clean and quiet and looked out over an inner courtyard. The restaurant in the hotel was good. I had both breakfast and lunch there. The hotel is directly across the street from the tram stop. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe walking in the neighborhood all around the hotel.

My Polish-speaking driver from the airport was valuable as he was able to figure out that one needs to go to the next building to check in and get the key. The hotel staff that evening was curt to the point of rudeness. The subsequent staff were much better. However, I left for the airport at 4 a.m. and the hotel door was locked so I couldn't check out and return my key. My taxi driver took my key to return it. I hope it all turned out!!

The breakfast was very rich and varied, we ate it twice during the trip and it still tasted excellent the second morning. The staff was helpful and friendly and managed to smile despite the busy schedule ;) The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect, close to the train station and the old town, right in the heart of the city. Tram stops in several directions are located right in front of the hotel.

The room on the first night was too noisy most of the night because it was on the first floor facing a busy street. But with the friendly and unyielding assistance of the staff, the second night's room made up for it all.

The location was perfect. It's in between Kraków train station/the mall and the old town, so everything is in the walking distance. The bed was really comfy.

We stayed here twice. The first time was lucky that we got a room at the back of the building, so everything was perfect. The second time, we got a room next to tram tracks, so we couldn't sleep well because it was very loud. Really depends on luck. There was no elevator, so be aware if you have a big luggage.

Hotel is situated just on the big road, because of that there are a lot of noise, you need to sleep with the closed windows . You need to go up by ladder. The biggest problem on the breakfast because you need to wait some dishes a lot (a lot of people from 2 hotels there).
