Hotel staff were wonderful - friendly, professional, helpful. Knowing we were staying three nights, they put us in a suite with a microwave and larger kitchenette. That made preparing meals so much easier. Our suite had small love seat and a small outdoor table and chairs just outside our room. The location is convenient, just a short walk to the local convenience store, restaurants and a few shops. Local attractions, hikes, glacier viewpoints are a quick drive away.

It could be a little noisy in the morning when guests were leaving, but it was never too early and it never woke us up.

The motel is on the main road, but quiet, and close to everything. The apartment was super clean and the bathroom was spacious. The whole area is beautiful, rainforest, and there are glowworms in the forest just behind the accomodation. The owner lady was very kind, she recommended us some nearby sights accessible by foot, as we had no car. There was a supermarket in town and you could get to Franz Joseph, Fox Glacier and lake Matheson. One of our favourite spots during our travels in New Zealand.

We loved everything!

At first I was disappointed that there appeared to be less to do around Fox Glacier, but Karen was really helpful and gave us some excellent local info, so I felt we had the best of Fox and Franz Josef glaciers. There is a glow worm walk just 2 minutes away which was fantastic. And we did sunrise at the Fox Glacier viewpoint.Both excellent. The unit was quiet, warm and cosy. Karen was generous and upgraded us to a larger unit as well, which made us feel very welcome.

We had everything we needed, so no complaints

great wee space in the room, friendly staff and central to everything in town. Nice view of the town over the balcony on the second story. Shower soap and instant coffee provided. Trees behind the motel house Kia, that we could see and hear from the balcony of our room. And although it is next to the road, there is no road noise over night. Very quiet.

I found the lights outside shined through the room all night through the gaps in the blind. window on the side of the building would benefit from a curtain instead. otherwise everything was comfortable 😊

Location was great and the lady on reception was lovely. She kindly upgraded us and the spa bath was great on a rainy evening.

Just a suggestion .. we had a large sofa in our room and felt that it would be more useful to provide a small table and 2 chairs instead (which we have actually had at all the other hotels in NZ so far). Other than that it was all very comfortable.

Staff were fantastic and location great and easy to find. The room was very confortable and bathroom modern. Facilities were great

Only thing that could of been better was that the room got hot in the afternoon. There were fans provided but no air conditioning. Window could be left open to assist with cooling the room but no screens and biting insects could enter.

Beautiful place, would be better when it's snowing as the mountains are right next to you.

The restaurants were under prepared for the number of tourists in the town. One place said they had run out of food and suggested we go somewhere else. The other place made us wait 3 hours before we could get a table, we ended up eating dinner at 11 pm, not happy.

Well organized, clean. Bed was fairly comfortable. Fairly standard room with handicapped shower which I did not request, but did have a queen bed. Room smelled fresh.

Took some time to master the pillow to my comfort. Shower unusual with pull around curtain, but hand rails were fine. Did not ask for handicapped room, but was "upgraded".

Super friendly and helpful on arrival, including info on the sights to see on our way to Wanaka the next day. Since there were free rooms, we received an upgrade from compact to a larger room. Good space, very clean, new bathroom, very comfortable bed and everything you could possibly need.

For us, flat pillows. 1 isn’t enough and 2 is too high.

Karen the owner was awesome,funny very welcoming very accommodating, shout out to the cleaning staff the motel room was very clean! We enjoyed our stay the room was spacious,the bathroom was big. Highly recommend wouldn't hesitate staying here again.

Couldn't fault anything.
