Good-sized clean, comfortable room in somewhat old-fashioned hotel in the centre of small town S of Edinburgh. Good wifi. Bath, which I like, though the hot water turned cold after running for a while. Good (in fact, rather too much) dinner and breakfast in the restaurant.
No complaints (apart from the rain)

Completely adorable house with nice restaurant, bar, and outdoor area. The staff were so nice and accommodating. It was really nice to get away from the city and we enjoyed walking around the town which had informational plaques in key areas telling about the history of the town. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel, which was fantastic. The food was really good, we had our first full Scottish breakfast there and it was really nice. Service was fast and friendly! It's just a short bus ride to Rosslyn chapel, too! The water pressure was great and plenty of hot water in the shower. Nice sized closet in our room. Proprietor was nice and accommodating, chatted with us a bit about history of the house and area. The breakfast room was set up beautifully and they had LOTS of food! Bathroom was nicely sized.
It is an older house, so our room was small, but it didn't impact our stay much since we didn't spend much time in our room. The bed was not terribly comfortable (however this was our experience throughout Scotland including in the higher end accommodations, but I really preferred stays like this one).

The courtesy of people. As soon as you arrive you think you have made a mistake. Then despite the extravagance of the facility, the building is very old, you start to appreciate the cleanliness of the facility, the excellent service, the limited swimming in the rooms and you start to make yourself at home. Breakfast is great and if you want you can also dine in, they cook well for you. I recommend it and I will go back. After the hustle and bustle of tourists in Edinburgh coming back to this small village reminds you that you are in Scotland.
First impressions given the old age of the structure. But if you remember that what glitters is not always beautiful

My stay at the Navaar House Hotel was absolutely wonderful! Every single member of staff was so accomodating and welcoming, I felt right at home! Breakfast and dinner were delicious and I really appreciated the fact that there were a lot of plant-based options, as well. My room was spacious and cozy and it offered a lovely view of the autumn foliage surrounding the house. This hotel is an absolute gem!
The only drawback is the fact that it takes quite a while to get to Edinburgh by bus. However, the bus stop is right in front of the hotel and there is no need to transfer when you want to reach the city centre. The route is quite scenic, as well, so it definitely makes up for the long ride. You just need to plan accordingly, when you want to be places at a specific time.

It’s an old property so a bit dated in parts but lovely and comfortable. Staff could not have given me a warmer welcome and were all pleasant, helpful and just lovely. Nothing was any trouble. My room had everything I needed and was warm and comfortable. Food is also to be recommended.
My room was on the same side as the road so some traffic noise. It wasn’t bad but I am not used to traffic noise at all. The reception on the tv was a bit sketchy but wasn’t an issue as I wasn’t in my room long enough to be watching it.

It’s an absolute wonderful place to stay, with the best bed I’ve slept in in the last decades. The staff is welcoming and friendly and they do everything possible to make it a good stay. The food served in the restaurant is amazing as well. This place is definitely worth a visit. Right outside is a bus station, heading to Edinburgh takes you depending on the line between 50 and 70 minutes through a nice landscape for only 2£.

Overall a very nice experience Great staff: they tried everything to find a taxi in that area but nobody answered the phone I had a great dinner lovely and large room. bus stop in front of the hotel to go to Edinburgh or to the school of vet medicine but in this case, you'll need to change.
the room was a little too cold probably cause the windows don't isolate effectively For those who don't want the full Scottish breakfast, the eggs and the omelettes could be improved with some bacon and/or sausages

It’s a very lovely stay! The house is only 45 mins away from Edinburgh centre so very convenient and also very quiet around. When we arrived, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We got some food from outside and although the kitchen was closed, she helped us heat it up and even put it on a nice tray and get us some ketchup :) We slept really well. The room felt very cosy like grandma home and had everything we needed. The price was amazing too. Would recommend it to everyone really!

Was able to change to a more appropriate room. Food was excellent and value for money. Staff were welcoming, extremely helpful and very friendly.
Although the room was clean and the bed was comfy my only concern was the room decor could be tidied up, eg border wallpaper was torn and loose in parts. However, it didn't spoil our stay at the hotel.

The property was very clean and comfortable I had water/ tea/coffee/ biscuits in room each day. The bed was very comfortable and plenty of towels. Staff very friendly. The hotel was only 6 minutes from my venue.
Perhaps more lights on lead to door that’s a small negative from me as I was leaving early in the morning when it was dark and arriving back when it was dark as a loan female.
