Our room was lovely. Very comfortable bed and room overall very pleasant and functional. Lovely bathroom and so very clean. We enjoyed the balcony, very relaxing. Perfect location, right in the middle of town. Supermarket and shopping centre straight across the road, easy walking distance. We had the continental breakfast and it was great. Good choices and the food was all excellent quality. We also ordered several dinners from the restaurant and the meals were exceptional. Top quality restaurant food which I highly recommend. All in all, our stay at Dog Rock Motel was perfect in every possible way. We will be back for sure.

The location was excellent , the staff great and the breakfast we had was very nice. The outlook from the room was great. Could not really complain.

Really this a I true first world problem however they really need to look at the toaster that is currently in use in the restaurant. Having to put a piece of toast through as a minimum of 3 times to cook it seems a little extreme.

The staff are super friendly and their service is prompt and professional. The continental breakfast was everything you’d expect. The pastries are freshly baked and the wide selection of fruit was fresh. The shower products are lovely.

The outside noise from guests who shuffled chairs above us most of the evening and a constant stream of people walking past our room continuously. The bed is quite small and one extra bath towel would’ve been nice.

Near the city center at Dog Rock itself. Can drive to attractions easily. Friendly staff. Free carpark. Good air conditioner with heater function.

Narrow spread of continental breakfast. I booked two rooms for 5 adults and 2 kids. One room had two adults. Other room had 3 adults and 2 kids. We were all expected to squeeze in a queen and single bed. My husband and me squeezed in a single rollaway bed that squeaked for 2 nights while another adult slept with my 2 kids in the queen bed. Very cramped and uncomfortable as I had only 42cm width of bed to sleep on. Hotel shld have provided two double (queen) beds instead.

Great late check in system. Could tell there is pride and care taken in the running of the Motel. The room was nice and modern, comfortable size and a great layout, well presented and very clean. Loved the dark block out curtains and a good sleep in. Liked that we could close off the bedroom to the sitting room and there was a TV in each room. Nice continental breakfast with the option to upgrade to a buffet cooked breakfast. Will definately be staying again.

One of the downlights had a buzzing noise coming from it. No big deal for us, just left those lights off.

The motel restaurant was excellent & highly recommended. I wasn't expecting such a good restaurant attached to a motel. Good menu variety, great food. Motel room was very well cleaned. Breakfast also good. Room service was excellent.

Room was a little dark. Restaurant lighting was perfect for dinner but a bit dark for breakfast. There was a nice Western Australia map on wall but the other picture was a motorcycle which I thought could've better been a nice Albany scenery pic. Bed was a bit soft but fine.

Excellent location on edge of town with shops and restaurants within east walking distance but not really needed as on-site restaurant provided good buffet-style continental breakfast (cooked was extra) and first class evening meals. Room was spacious and had all we required for 3 night stay and exploration of local area. Parking right outside the door. Shower excellent. Was very pleasantly surprised by quality of the place; would definitely stay again

When we arrived we had a room upgrade which was nice. Staff we welcoming when we went for breakfast and explained if we were wanting to upgrade. Even through the dog rock motel has been around for awhile our room presented well and if we were to visit again we would certainly book again.

only a minor issue the fridge had a wobble which i fixed by folding up some packaging and then all good , room # 65.

This Motel is a practical and well run property, close to the Main Street of Albany. Our room was very spacious with nice outlook from the balcony, beautifully clean with daily service including fresh towels. Parking outside your door. A nice contintenal breakfast with option to upgrade to cooked for a reasonable extra cost.

A minor comment … if you’re a fussy sleeper, whilst comfortable enough, our mattress had a bit of bounce so a restless partner’s movements might be noticeable.

Our room was spacious and very clean. I was super impressed by how new it felt. The room had a regular size fridge and freezer which was what we needed. We always have dinner at the hotel restaurant everytime we come to Albany. The quality of the cooking and the food is even better then a lot of fine dining in Perth. This is our favourite motel to stay in Albany.

Rooms were not very sound proof. However if you are out most of the day it's not a big problem
