Staff very welcoming from the first to last. Breakfast was plentiful (including bread, bagels, waffles, selection of pastries, boiled eggs, avocado, yogurt and fruit). Room was super quiet and comfortable, but the best thing about this hotel is the location. Less than one minute walk from the red steps in Times Square. Also try the Haven rooftop bar. This is our fourth trip to NYC previously staying Upper West Side and Brooklyn, but this is the best location! We will definitely stay here again.

Room certainly on the smaller side but it was quiet and that was more important to us. No tea and coffee facilities in the room but readily available at reception, so not a big deal. Also would be handy to have some literature in the room about the facilities available, restaurants, gym etc.

Room was sizeable (even have space to do yoga). Deluxe queen is at the back of the hotel and away from elevator, i.e quiet, which is how we like it. Housekeeping did a really good job. Our room had a fridge, which was one of the things we were looking for. Safe in the room worked great.

Breakfast was basic but we’re not the type that do much breakfast anyway. Elevator sometimes take a while but we’re the type that like who walk the stairs (4th floor room). No view from the room but we were out and about most of the time anyway and the room is quiet. Some people might not like how the glass shower can be seen from the room (separated by curtain) but not a problem for us.

I was so impressed with Sanctuary! Excellent customer service from everyone, including the doormen who greeted us everyday. We had jet lag and the staff were really accommodating when we asked if we could order McDonald's on Uber Eats at 3.30am. It's an ideal location around the corner from time square and it was surprisingly quiet. Our room was serviced daily, quite dark (helpful for jetlag) and included a great continental breakfast plus tea, coffee and water available in the lobby all the time (again helpful for jetlag). It definitely surpassed my expectations for New York accommodation and I will definitely recommend it to anyone travelling to NYC.

The room was quite small so a bit uncomfortable for two friends, however we expected this in New York. We didn't have a window either so it was a bit dark, but we were experiencing jetlag so found this helpful.

Location was excellent. Very close to Central Park and Times Square. Staff were very helpful and friendly, especially the three staff members covering the door to the hotel. Room was cleaned and tidied every day to a high standard

Breakfast was the same and consisted of toast, muffins, cereal and fruit. There was no variation and became mundane after 5 days. There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room, which meant coming down to reception each time we wanted one. Would be better to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room

Coming in to Times Square area alone at night, and then getting off the elevator to a basically black hallway with red accents made me question whether I accidentally booked in a brothel.

The location was fantastic. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Great, comfortable bed. We arrived 6am in the morning and they had a room ready for us.

The bedroom is very small. The hotel is very dark. The rooftop area was not like the one shown on the photographs. There was a restaurant on the rooftop and one had to book at the restaurant if you wanted to sit there. I booked this hotel so that we could sometimes sit outside, but that wasn’t possible.

Great location. very central Times Square 5min away and subway. Hotel staff very helpful . Rooms and hotel was very clean. Beautiful rooftop bar. Can be very busy so book early. Also there a lovely bar next door for a quiet drink well worth a visit .

Both the hotel staff and the room were good! The had the deluxe queen room (215 size I believe) and it was good for a solo traveler. The room is not very big or not very small but its okk. The service was good too and the people at the reception were amazing! They are very kind and helpful! The breakfast was included for me and it was decent too. The location of the hotel is amazing too just 2 mins away from time square. Definitely recommending this hotel to everyone!

The service was impeccable. Doormen were so welcoming and always going out of their way to help us back into or out of the hotel. The room was laid out perfectly for us. Everything we needed in a small but spacious setting. The location was perfect. Everything we wanted to do was only a short walk away and if we needed to go further the subway was right on the door step. Room was cleaned and serviced everyday, small touches that were really noticeable.
