We stayed at the Best Western Hotel Kings Manor for over a week, and it truly felt like a home away from home. Our club room at the end of the corridor was quiet, with a lovely view of the lawn behind the hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and had a huge, comfortable bed with blackout curtains that ensured restful nights. The hotel also offers great parking and has an on-site restaurant with good options. As vegans, my partner and I were very impressed by how accommodating the breakfast staff were, preparing us a vegan breakfast every morning. The housekeeping staff were also really wonderful when we needed help. We enjoyed using the leisure club facilities, including the swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and gym. It did get a bit busy in the evenings, but overall, it was a great addition to our stay. A special mention goes to the reception staff, especially Jonathan. He provided exceptional customer service, always warm, welcoming, and happy to help us. He took a genuine interest in ensuring we had a great experience and made us feel valued and at ease. This made a huge difference in our stay at the hotel - thank you! Overall, the hotel’s eco-conscious efforts, excellent staff, and comfortable amenities made for a memorable stay. Highly recommended!

There was nothing negative about our stay. If we were to mention anything, it would be that, for such a long stay (over a week), a mini fridge and safe in the room would have been convenient. However, that's on us for not checking the facilities beforehand.

Brilliant location and easy to park. Rooms were basic but clean and that’s important. The staff were amazing and work so hard to make your stay fabulous. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. Thank you to everyone. Especially the lovely lady who helped my daughter when she sprained her ankle and the lovely lady who greeted us for breakfast each day. The cocktails served by the lovely lady supervisor on the Tuesday afternoon. My apologies for not knowing names. But each and everyone of you made our stay special.

There were some holes in the sheets on one of the beds but everything was very clean so was no issue. The shower could be better as difficult to use comfortably with the bar on the wall

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect, short walk to the beach. There is a bus stop with buses frequently passing to take you in the city centre. You are also 5 minute walk away to the train station that takes you also into the city centre. We had a dog, and the fact there was a park just over the road was perfect. The hotel had plenty of dog friendly areas we could even take him down to breakfast. spacious bedroom with the most comfy bed. And very clean.

Thought the menu could have a bit more choice on it. The bedroom and bathroom could do with an update. The shower head bracket was starting to break.

The facilities! 10/10 It was the first gym I‘ve ever saw in hotels that had decent selection of machines and dumbbells, kettlebells etc I enjoyed swimming and the steam room as well. Sadly the pilates was fully booked but it amazed me how many options they had for pilates, yoga, .. a full schedule for the whole week I definitely will come back because that is so lovely

The water pressure was weak no AC no toilet brush The bed was not very long, If I‘d be any taller than 170cm that would have been a problem, and there were stains in the mattress cover (of course I guess they were properly washed but still it would be maybe more delighted if these stains would have been removed with bleach or anything)

The rooms were pretty clean and spacious bed was comfy enough. The pool and spa were great. Staff were willing to help with any issues I had , for example the heating turns off at 9pm and it was cold, call down to reception and they sorted it for me. Another example I was having a bad moment with anxiety I went down stairs and the reception staff that was working night got me a jug of ice water which I needed. Staff are friendly and are willing to help with anything they can. I can say I will definitely be back when visiting. Another note is there is some beautiful walks in the area near the water front.

Only thing I didn’t like is that there was hair in the bathroom when I first got there. There was a stain on one of my towels. I noticed that my bed felt hard after my room was cleaned one day. I think the smell from someone else bathroom (deodorant spray) was coming into my room and it was pretty strong.

Great location for visiting Edinburgh. A few minutes walk to Brunstane station (7-10 minute journey into Edinburgh Waverley) also lots of bus options and stops right outside the hotel. 20 minute walk to Portobello beach front and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay, the room was clean and spacious. Having use of the pool was fantastic after a long day of adventuring. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, they did their best to accommodate any requests which was really appreciated.

It was very frustrating to find there was no shampoo / conditioner provided in the room, which meant after a long day of travelling we had to go out and buy some for a shower. The restaurant was very expensive for what you got (ready meal type food)

I was looking for a quite place for a long weekend where I could relax, sleep well and exercise. with the swimming pool, gym, Portobello beach nearby for long runs you can have it all. you have to take a bus to go to the city centre but it was not a problem for me for the amenities you get in the hotel. the room was spacious and comfortable. tea and cookies supplied every day by the room service were a nice addition. breakfast - well, it's British breakfast, I don't like it but that's what you get in the UK!

the hotel is a bit shabby but overall I think it's a very good price quality combination

Only one small niggle and that was the cooked Breakfast items were cold,, possibly due to the fact that it was -7 degrees outside and the area where the cooked items were being kept was pretty cold

Large comfortable room with a super king size bed. Good provision for clothing with drawers and hanging space provided. A superb en suite, with good sized shower ; the ensuite looked as if recently refurbished. Breakfast daily was generally very good too.

On our only visit to the bar, we were surrounded by the noise of the TV in one ear, and an audio music system from the other side. No patrons seemed to be interested in the game show on TV, but my wife did recognise some of the music. Perhaps the TV might be muted or even switched off unless a customer requests a specific programme to watch.

Super breakfast, was good efficient etc. and reception people/staff were very on the ball with queries and help/support. I lived near this hotel up to nearly 11yrs so know the area. The Options Bistro was fab great service and food. Just needed to have the menu and opening times in guests rooms please!! along with details of the pool and leisure facilities, thanks Close to bus routes into the city centre and nearby shops etc. Staff friendly and I did think some staff were bilingual which is great. Nice bedroom and lots of space!

Gym and Pool - not sure how this all works I used both I was asked about a colour zone ? nothing was said to me on this? both were fine but more info and instructions etc. needed. Someone said we needed tokens someone said we needed a 1 coin? I do think that there needs some supervision in the pool area it was flowing with water I had footwear on but others could be at risk of slipping! Lets have a map available at reception for people that show supermarket Asda and Porty (Portobello) as both not far at all, as Is Fort Kinnard. Feel the hotel is missing a trick here. Be good to let guests know that there are 2 lots of 1,2,3, floors as I got lost in the 2nd bit of the hotel trying to find my room 3rd floor but wrong part???
