Everything! I want to live here! In my opinion, they got everything right here and they really make you feel like you’ve come home. The staff are incredible, like old friends welcoming you in after a long day who anticipate your every need. Our room in the Lodge was so comfortable and luxurious. We felt so lucky to have a balcony with French doors overlooking THAT view! Comfortable bed and pillows, a big bath and a walk in shower (loved having both), fluffy bathrobes, roaring fires all over the place, cosy communal sitting rooms, show-stopping food, housekeeping while you’re at breakfast… I could go on and on, but if you’re in two minds and are looking for a luxurious home from home, just book a stay here. I would be so surprised if you’re disappointed. As soon as we left, I was wondering when we could return.

We spent the Easter weekend at Kinloch Lodge and had a perfect stay. Everything starts when you arrive at the location: it’s breathtaking. The rooms and the common areas are warm, beautiful and tastefully decorated which create a charming and timeless atmosphere. it feels like the time has stopped here. Last but not least: the service - impeccable, welcoming and extremely attentive to the guests needs. Attention to details (thanks for the Easter bunnies and the dog treats in the room… lovely touches!) and amazing food (some of the best British Modern cuisine we have ever had in over 8 years living in the UK) complete this amazing experience and made our stay really memorable to our whole family. Thank you, Isabelle and team - we will surely be back.

The location, the buildings, the fittings and history and our room which had a great lochside view. The food was excellent. The hotel prides itself on the quality of the food and menus offered.

Service was slow and uninterested from some younger staff although Rachel was excellent and Nick was v pleasant; given the price this must be far better. Hence poor value for money. The impression we took away was that the primary focus was on pandering to all the Americans who were there and not the UK guests who are more discerning on price and quality in such surroundings. The access road was in poor shape. It's the first impression gained on entry.

Excellent customer service. Bartender and morning manager were wonderful. The food was outstanding: porridge and carrot cake were particularly delicious. Amazing attention to details.

I would prefer to stay in the main lodge the next time I visit. A bit cold in the dining room. I wish I had known about afternoon treats: I would have tried to get us to the lodge in time for this.

Restaurant staff outstanding. Superior and ambitious cooking. Amazingly comfortable and cosy drawing rooms with open fires etc. Adored reading in front of the fire. Very attractive situation and a great location to go deeper into Skye or head back onto the mainland. Quite a nice historic vibe.

We spent quite a lot on the room and that was before the pretty pricey (though good) dinner. Too much for the rather basic room (though the shower was great). Definitely understand the current cost pressures on top of getting supplied out in Skye, but not a bargain, shall we say. Still a great place though.

The food was great - a little limited at times but quality was excellent. The room had a lovely view but was not as nice as the room we ad when we stayed previously (upper level room of extension to main building) The staff were lovely but perhaps needed some more training. They didn’t always serve correctly and we found ourselves without bread or were left waiting to give our order. Loved the real fires and chats with other guests on an evening

Would have preferred more choice for dinner menu. We found that we only had one we could really choose from on the list. That said, the food that we did have was lovely. Our room before had been nicer and might have spoilt us.

We loved the location and esp. the friendliness of Isabella.

Being Scottish and such an iconic location we were a bit surprised at being greeted & checked in by a young Australian 😄 However, all the staff were very friendly and went above and beyond.

Beautiful place in a gorgeous setting. From the moment I checked in, it was a treat. I chose this place because I had never been to the Isle of Skye and wanted to get a taste of the "country life". Kinloch did not disappoint. The grounds and the lodge were beautiful. They had a fire burning in the sitting room(it can get a little chilly when on a misty day). The food was phenomenal and the staff were friendly and helpful. This is a great place to stay if you want to treat yourself!

I can't think of anything.

The staff are incredible, kind, and thoughtful - truly, they made our stay feel as if we were with friends and family. Also, it must be noted that the food is seriously good - competes with the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at, and the menu changes daily, offering outstanding variety. The location is perfect - jaw dropping and beautiful views at sunrise and sunset, and also quite convenient. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, and ooze old world charm, while still offering modern amenities like heated floors and a heated towel rack in a modern bathroom. Thank you to everyone who made our elopement and honeymoon such a wonderful time. It truly felt like a fairytale.
