The location was great, just off the Skye Bridge in Kyleakin, close to restaurants and a pub. It's a lovely little town with an old castle ruin nearby. Our room had bunk beds, which wasn't the best situation for us, but we knew it was a hostel so we expected that bunk beds were a possibility. The beds were very comfortable and we were on the first floor which was very convenient, and there was onsite parking. We didn't use the common area fridge or microwave but it was there if we had needed it. The staff were very friendly. Our shower was good (hot) too and there was a sink in the room.
It was a surprise to us that our shower and toilet/sink were not in our room but were in separate locations across the hall, so using these was a little inconvenient, especially at night. The shower was in one room, while the toilet and sink were in a separate room. It was private though and only for our use and accessible only with our room card. As a hostel, this is probably a normal set-up but was a different experience for us. The carpet in our room wasn't very clean and I would suggest replacing it with a washable vinyl floor in the future.

I was traveling up from England and I arrived very late into the Isle of Skye just before 12:00am. The staff we're amazing with putting my room card in a safe box for me on arrival. If you are getting into the Isle of Skye late like me just send them an email and they will organize everything for you. The location is amazing with being right next to the bridge and there are local bus stops near by if you are not driving. Overall the stay was wonderful and smooth. Plus if you are hungry there is a restaurant attached onto the hostel with a great dinner menu!! x
The only downside was I wish there were more showers and bathrooms. But I understand as it would only be very busy coming into the summer period and then it would die off again. Overall no complaints it is a great place to stay when traveling around the Isle of Skye!! x

A warm greeting at reception, staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and plenty space for all our gear as we were on motorbike. Facilities in the room were perfect, coffee making and ensuite. Location was perfect beautiful view of the Skye bridge and surroundings. Had breakfast both mornings and a meal for 15 of us on the Saturday night, fantastic food, service is superb. Not overpriced. I feel based on our experience ,the rating is on the low side it deserves more.
Nothing to dislike

Location was in a high sought area...although the hostel is a distance from the popular tourist attractions, the drive was cool. Nearby restaurant and bar and very convenient parking. Front counter staff as well as cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful! Would recommend staying here!
I think it was very overpriced for accommodations. I guess that's supply and demand though. It is a little distance from main tourist attractions so I think it should be priced accordingly. Bed mattresses could be updated. They were not very comfy.

We found the location was great for our short stay on Isle of Skye. The beds were comfy - and I am not sure why there are so many negative reviews. It was perfect for us and we would stay again if we ever return to Isle of Skye.
Nothing really - the restaurant onsite was good but a bit pricey. There are other options to eat at within walking distance if you would prefer something else - but we enjoyed the food and I got to try cullin skink for the first time.

Location! The view, it's located at the water facing Skye Bridge. Clean and cozy and warm. Free parking in front. A community room with microwave, seating area and games. Comfortable beds. Restaurant and bar are next door. Okay for a short stay. Rooms/bathrooms are being refurbished.
Rooms are small with limited storage room. No elevator to rooms on first floor. No problem for us, just keep that in mind if you have a problem with stairs. I think the room was pricey as value for money.

Very comfortable bed and staff in the bar and restaurant were Ecco
We booked 2 rooms one a double en-suite and the other a twin or double en-suite. The double was fine and had en suite but the other room was a v small room with bunk beds and no tea/coffee making facilities and had to ask for a towel. There was no en suite for this room but it had a tiny toilet and shower at the opposite end of the outside corridor. Also we were on our motorcycles and were soaked and there was no drying room or place to dry our gear although when we asked the small radiator in our room was put on for a while which helped a bit

What a wonderful little hostel right on the water! Our room overlooked the bay to the mainland and the Skye Bridge. It was great to walk up and down the waterway and then take the "death hike" over to the Castle Moil ruin. The restaurant in the hostel was tasty and relaxing, offering great Scottish hospitality and atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend!
Hey, it's a hostel....so you expect certain things when staying at a hostel. The beds here were as expected. We had a bunk room and the beds were as cosy and comfortable as you would expect. Which isn't much! The wear and tear was showing on the carpets which is the only reason we wouldn't rate the facilities higher. But we still had a good sleep and we were very satisfied with our stay! Highly recommend!

Good location with views towards the sea from my bedroom window. Spacious room, despite being on the top floor and with sloping ceiling. Newly acquired building I believe and a welcome addition to their existing accommodation.
Despite being an older building you were able to hear other customers speaking, below/opposite. Some of the bedroom doors have self closing mechanisms, resulting in doors banging loudly when closing. Several families downstairs had children moving to and from various rooms causing constant noise for over an hour between 9 - 1030pm. I had a very early rise the next morning but was unable to sleep until nearer 11pm.

I liked the location, it was very easy to get to all the places we wanted to see while on the Isle of Skye and the staff were very friendly.
We had a private room with bunkbeds. The mattress was very thin and there was only 1 pillow per bed so I ended up with a sore back and neck. The private bathroom was at the opposite end of the corridor to our room, the toilet didn't flush properly and the shower cubicle was tiny.
