The staff members were excellent; very welcoming and accommodating. Service and food in the restaurant was great and plentiful. Loved that there were a few sitting rooms and an honour bar to utilize. The view was absolutely stunning.

The hotel is older, which is fine, it has character. It does need some updating and some love. The hallways are very squeaky and noisy; we were grateful that other guests went to bed the same time as our family because it could have been hard to sleep. Our bathroom ceiling had mould. The carpet had a big stain which was wet (maybe tried to clean something?) It is expensive imo, especially with these drawbacks. But! This was a hard review to write because I want to give it a ten as we enjoyed the area so much. And, again, the staff were really great.

I cant say enough Thank you to hosts Liam & Christina for their hospitality. I been rescued from mountain and they been aware of my situation. So they prepared for me their big warm room with bath despite I book only small. I felt like Im home visit my family. Christina made super delicious breakfast for me and we had great chat. Room was super clean with shampoo, soaps, lots of teas, hot chocolate even biscuits. Shieldaig is beautiful calm village. Defo recommended for everyone staying in this super cosy Hotel . Lucy

I chose a single room, and in doing so was expecting a little bed that I couldn't fit into (being closer to 7ft than 6). To my surprise, however, it was more than adequate. The room was spacious enough for the dog and I and was also surprisingly quiet. Breakfast was brilliant and not being an eater of pork, I do appreciate the fish options. The girls all were exceptional at their job while I was there, and made a man and his dog feel very welcome. For the area alone it is worth the price I paid, but the service at the hotel was a welcomed bonus. I stayed an extra night on top of this (which was £10 cheaper because I booked directly through the hotel)

Putting the dog in the car whilst I had breakfast was a bit of an inconvenience, but I understand that having breakfast with someone else's dog in the room may be an inconvenience for other guests

The location and the view from the hotel was wonderful. It is also close the amazing surroundings. Inside we loved the room: the comfy beds, hot shower, the cozy interior. Another big bonus: the friendly staff and the breakfast. Also the other guests were really nice.

The rooms are not 100% soundproof. But it did not bother us, because it was in general really quite in the hotel :)

Stunning location on the loch front, a real country village inn. Staff were helpful and the bar sold a number of real ales. Quaint and comfortable with a great fish menu to complement the more traditional travellers fare.

Not a complaint, but by the time I booked I managed to get the last single room which has to be the smallest I have ever slept in, and the tightest en-suite shower I have experienced! However, functional and comfortable and plenty of shoreline for walking exercise. Supping a beer at the outside tables as the sun started to set over Easdale Island is a picture that stays etched on your mind

A really lovely lochside inn near to the North Coast 500 route with very friendly staff. Well appointed room (no TV in room though, possibly due to lack of signal). Meals taken in attached restaurant with emphasis on locally caught fish so can be affected by inclement weather). Really tasty breakfast including excellent haggis from a nearby supplier (the best we have tasted). Lady in breakfast room provided important advice on traversing the Applecross peninsular-North Coast 500.

Very large rooms and bathrooms, excellent restaurant with great views to the sea, friendly and helpful staff. They called ahead to ask if we wanted to have dinner in the restaurant as it was booking up.

Our room was facing the rear and looking at a grass bank which was a shame but the good facilities / location made up for it. The others in our group faced the street and found that very noisy with people leaving the pub next door late at night.

Its location was outstanding. Loch views were amazing. Comfortable, warm rooms. Tasteful decor. Our room had armchairs to enjoy the view. Cristina was very welcoming and an excellent host. Tasty, hearty breakfast. Delicious meal in the Shieldaig Bar & Coast Kitchen.

The guest lounge could be made to feel more welcoming. It might have been because it was November when we visited.

Exceptional location situated in a little bay - very scenic and our room had great views overlooking the water. Very good breakfast with excellent scrambled eggs.

The property and rooms are a little dated and worn out - our room and the bathroom in specific would have benefitted from some touch ups. Shower pressure and temperature not steady. A bit expensive for what it is although the location and views make up for a lot

Location, views, wildlife. Dinner in the evening and breakfast were both extremely good. Restaurant prices were very good and seafood options delicious. Honesty bar was a nice touch.

Couldn't get any food on arrival at 2pm as the kitchen was closed. Given the location there were no other food options as the shop next door didn't have anything such as sandwiches. Felt £150 for the room was a bit steep although it did include breakfast.
