Perfectly situated on the shore road in Kyleakin with views over Loch Alsh to Kyle on the mainland and of the nearby Skye Bridge. Very pleasant, friendly staff - thank you for making my stay so special. I had a single room with a view out over the Loch. It was compact but had everything I needed for my 2 night stay. Very clean and everything in good condition. Comfortable bed. The room was relatively quiet despite the large bus groups staying in the hotel. Good, self-service breakfast. I came by train from Inverness via Plockton to Kyle and then hopped on a local bus just one stop over the bridge to Kyleakin. The bus stop is just a short walk away from the hotel with services to other parts of the Isle of Skye, Kyle of Lochalsh and also long distance buses to Fort William and Glasgow. Some buses even stop right at Eilean Donan castle - just make sure you keep an eye on the return bus times. Apart from the Hotel bars and restaurant there are a few places locally which you can reach on foot. Important to book in the evening, wherever you choose. Kyleakin is a pretty village with a working harbour and there are castle ruins nearby which you can also visit. Or take a walk along the beach for closer views of the bridge.

It is just opposite the sea with a great sea view. There is a mail box inside the gate for the guests to send post cards!
You'd better drive your own car since the public transportation has a long interval.

Hotel well located . Stayed in single room end of corridor. Bed comfy enough . Staff very friendly and informative. Good cooked breakfast and food from menu very tasty
Hotel needs a bit of upgrade . Old looking carpets, wallpaper and have a bit of old smell as you go through the corridors. My room was a single room . Functional but not beautiful. I stayed 3 nights and never was clean.. therefore any rubbish I had stayed there till I left. Also not enough car parking spaces.

The room was well located overlooking the sea. The bed linen and bathroom were very clean. The dressing table was not correctly fixed together and risked collapsing. Evening meal was excellent. Breakfast, not so good. I believe that the Coach party had helped themselves to pastries to take out and what was left in the Bain Marie was not fresh and little of it. Staff did not seem to be available and there was no food being replenished ( no pastries available in the kitchen apparently).
See above. The receptionist was not very welcoming.

Generally comfortable and welcoming booking in experience. Nice views out to the bay and lovely setting in small village.
Despite having booked a table for dinner. Despite being told by a sign to wait to be seated I was ignored several times and was eventually told to pick a table but not one of the set ones as they were for the tour groups. Unfortunately the food was quite bland and therefore did not manage to save the day. Independent guests were sadly not on an even footing with the tour groups. not a priority.

Has soon as you came off sky bridge the hotel was there. The hotel was clean the staff wher helpful the room was small but clean and so was the bathroom it was lovely and warm so warm I had to turn the heating off. The standard of food was very high we had two meals both top quality. At night it was quite and the bed was comfy we where travelling on motorcycles and there was parking space. So over all a very good hotel for the amount of money and we are going back in September

The hotel is in a fantastic location, close to the Isle of Skye Bridge, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. Parking was easy and hassle-free, which added to the overall convenience of our stay. Breakfast was enjoyable, and overall, we had an excellent experience. I would highly recommend this place to anyone starting a journey to the Isle of Skye.

Clean room and nice views. Breakfast wasn't Michelin quality but they had a lot of variety and all of it was fresh and tasty. Really lovely people at the till and good priced alcohol in their small bar.
I didn't really have anything I specifically didn't like. Only thing that might bother some people is the dated rooms. We were there just to sleep and the amenities were really nice so didn't care, but I often see the design being one of the main points why someone chooses a hotel so wanted to mention that here.

Loved the historical hotel and even found the uneven floor kind of fun. It is an historical property and though the rooms were updated, the historical feeling of the building is still very much in place. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. I was met by Carolina, who even offered to carry my case. There is a lift, but know there are still a few stairs to deal with. I had a single room that worked just fine for a single traveler. It was clean and comfortable (even if the bathroom floor slanted). I added on the breakfast option once I got there. They also serve evening meals in there dining room. Just know that this hotel does cater to large tour groups, so make sure if you are planning on eating here that you make reservations for both morning and evening meals. This hotel is a lovely start to your Isle of Skye adventure.
I wish I would of done a bit more research on the village of Kyleakin. Other then guest accommodation, private homes, there are three places to eat, one being the Kings Arms Hotel. For some traveling only on public transportation, I found myself walking back over the Skye Bridge to get lunches and do a little shopping.

Lovely location, past reviews had made us doubt if we would like the hotel. All I can say is our room was a decent size, the shower was excellent. Perfect for a one night stop over on way to Uig ferry
The beds were not the most comfortable, but bedding clean. The hotel is a little tired but with the amount of people going through it and staying one night it was adequate. £169 a night was on the high side for what you got.
