The room was nice and clean, quiet and comfortable. We just stayed there for one night, and the one thing that I clearly remember is how friendly and helpful the lady at the front desk was. We arrived in sunny weather, and she told us right away to take advantage of it because rain was supposed to move in overnight and there wouldn't be any glacier views in the morning.

Can't remember anything negative. It had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. Would book again without hesitation.

This is a decent motel just on the edge of Fox Glacier Town about 6 kms from Lake Matheson on the road to the Glacier Viewpoint and as a result its location suited us fine. It's handy for the town but we were self catering. There's just enough in the kitchenette to do this successfully but there's only 2 of everything. The room was comfortable, the bathroom adequate - what you'd expect in a standard motel though there were some good quality toiletries to make a bit of a difference. Staff were helpful.

It is expensive for what it is but I suspect that is supply and demand. The room wasn't serviced when we'd asked for it to be though it was on a 2nd request.

Beds and chairs were comfortable Cutlery etc easy to find and enough for 4 people Beautifully clean We really appreciated that someone emptied the rubbish bin after a couple of days, and took away the recycling

Although there was sleeping for 4, there were only lounge chairs for 3 people. Lack of anything to clean the cooktop with (although that might be to stop people stealing the product) Lack of fish slice could have been a pain (although we brought our own, so was ok for us) Television was too high up on the wall - uncomfortable if on couch, chair or sitting on the floor.

The motel was located in fox glacier, just a short drive to Lake Matheson. Very quiet and peaceful neighbourhood, but there is nothing much in the area. If you plan to cook, will need to come prepared with groceries. We booked this place last minute and were satisfied with the prompt response of the property managers. Beds were comfortable, apartment was clean and warm. Slightly overpriced but also could be because we booked very last minute.

Very spacious and bed very comfortable. Great location for Fox Glacier and Lake Matheson. Fridge/freezer and little kitchenette handy. We went out for dinner to Betsey Jane’s which was great and only a 2 minute walk. Handy to have the use of laundry services and for a good fee too. Receptionist very friendly and helpful.

Generally very clean but bathroom floor a bit dusty behind door. A great stay overall and very comfortable.

Location was perfect! Short drive to town and walking distance to a popular eatery, Betsey Jane. Room and bathroom were very clean. I personally loved the heated mattress topper. The staff was very helpful in guiding us into things to do and see around Fox Glacier. She also answered our questions about things to do in Franz Josef as we were driving there the next day.

The shower was pretty small in my opinion and my husband agrees. Aside from that, everything was pretty renovated!

There is a carport infront of room so you dont get wet from the the rainwater when loading and offloading vehicle. Not sure if all rooms have this facility but the ones in the first row do have it. Size of room was larger than most motels. Electric frying pan( there is no stove or hotplate so this was helpful). Mocha the cat.

Walls are very very very thin and you can heatr every single thing from next door. This meant I could not sleep till early hours of the morning as there were some guests that were just loud, as per culture.

The staff was so nice, we had an accident on the way to the motel, and couldn’t arrive before 6pm, the staff left us a note in the office window and the key in the house. She came to greet us in the next morning!! And everything was so clean, the house is so new and full equipped!! Location is perfect if you want to go Fox Glacier.

We had to cut our stay short by one day due to closure of the Haast Pass in the direction of our travel. Lake Matheson were very understanding and refunded us promptly, even though a road closure is clearly not their fault. Thank you so much for that! Good size room, clean, quiet and comfortable. Well equipped kitchenette.

the rooms were very comfortable the bathroom lighting was exceptional the staff were very nice and asked if we needed anything the tempreature of the room met my expectations as the heater was great and heated up the room very quickly

the lighting was ewxceptional however, whenever someone took a shower, the bathroom would flood with water as there are no drains outside the shower cubicle. In the kitchen i wass cooking when i realised that the salt was empty and there were no refills
