Location was a great base for exploring Reykjavik
Studio 6 room was great for us as a family of 4 but would have been a squeeze for 5/6 people.

The hotel was in a really good location to be able to walk into the main town in just a few minutes. A little confusing to find the main entrance at first. Free car parking for the rental car was a bonus. Was really clean inside and decorated lovely. Lovely open fire pit in the main entrance with was lovely and lots of little quiet rooms to tuck yourself away for a quiet read or social gathering. Lor coffee machine in the room which was perfect. Shower and bathroom all modern and well kept and the TV had English channels which I wasn’t expecting. All the staff were friendly and helpful, nothing too much bother. Free WiFi included just a log in every 24hours. Had a bar and restaurant but we didn’t use it all during the stay. Overall a really nice place to stay. Would recommend to anyone who wants to stay somewhere lovely with a 5-10 min walk from the main town centre.
The outside was very deceiving. Just a really plain white building and on a very busy main road but once inside, it really didn’t bother us.

Beautiful hotel, location by harbour and very close to walk to centre and near bus stops. The reception staff very helpful in arranging tours, and very knowledgable - thank you for sorting an impromptu visit to the SkyLagoon. Very warm, especially noticed when minus temperatures outside. Breakfast options good and very tasty. The restaurant was really nice-was the best meal had whilst in Iceland. Hotel exceptionally clean, glad paid extra for suite overlooking the harbour on 4th floor.
Would have been nice to have complementary drinks in the reception area during the day, but facilities there for a price if didn’t want to go out for a warm drink.

We stayed at Reykjavik Marina - Berjaya Iceland Hotels for two nights in mid-September to celebrate my 50th birthday. The room, though slightly smaller than expected, was charming and well-equipped, featuring a comfortable bed and a cozy small couch. We frequently dined in the lounge for dinner and enjoyed evening drinks; the atmosphere was delightful. The hotel’s location next to the working dry docks of the shipyard added unique charm. It was within walking distance to several points of interest, including Harpa Concert Hall, the Sun Voyager sculpture, and the Old Harbour area. We also appreciated the proximity to art museums, shops, and delightful breakfast spots nearby.
While the room faced the street, which we preferred, there was some nightlife noise; however, it was neither prolonged nor excessive, allowing for a comfortable night’s rest. Additionally, the room’s size was slightly smaller than expected, but it was still adequate for our needs.

Location was perfect for the excursions we planned and also just getting around the city. The bed was comfy and the room was always very warm, a wonderful plus for December of course. There are plenty of common area seats, the few fire pits in these areas were a wonderful touch for the winter. The front desk staff were wonderful and helpful, shout out to Daniel for being so accommodating to different questions and requests!
The restaurant in the hotel has good food but the prices are very very high, doesn’t correlate with what is offered. This is the trend in many places in Reykjavik so it wasn’t a surprise. We only chose to eat there for Christmas dinner as most other places nearby were closed for the holiday.

The staff, especially Jonnsie & Ada, were exceptionally accommodating! Jonnsie went above and beyond the call of duty helping me out because I had a severe knee injury I sustained on the plane ride from NY to Iceland. I’ve never had service anywhere in the world like that! When I returned on Oct 16, Ada upgraded me to a suite that I wanted to stay and live in forever!!! It was the best hotel experience ever!! Great way to start and finish a trip to Iceland!!
Nothing! The restaurant was excellent and I had two fantastic meals both nights I spent there!

So many different living areas to sit in outside your room. So spacious. There was a fire pit which was great when coming into the hotel to warm up. Staff were very kind and polite. Rooms were also very nice and clean and daily maid service.
We were placed on the back of the building that was next to the road. The traffic was very loud even with our windows fully shut. This made it difficult to sleep. Additionally we had no control over the heat settings. Our room was very warm and given that our room was sub basement we could really keep our window open to cool down the room due to being level with the pavement.

The property was in a good location, right next to one of the main bus stops for tours, a few minutes walk. The hotel communal areas were beautiful, they seemed to have lots of extra communal rooms too for meetings or parties. A restaurant was attached too which was helpful. The employees were really helpful & kind which was great. Nice L’occitane toiletries. I’m truly not sure what the reviews are about that say it looks not very nice from the outside. I think it looks great, and inside the lobby etc was even more beautiful!
The room was very hot & I think due to room type we were unable to open the window (it said for emergencies only - but understandable as it opened up onto street so anyone could’ve climbed in to the room). The heat was a struggle. The hotel is a bit further away from central Reykjavik than we would’ve liked so it was a bit more difficult to find nearby places for dinner which were suitable for everyone in our group (including a vegetarian).

Bed and bathroom were amazing, huge room and nice kitchen facilities in our room. Top location in the harbour. Good breakfast with many choices.
Staf was nice, but a little missinformed. We booked a boattrip at the reception, turning out it was booked for the wrong day, luckily the boat-crew managed to change this for us. Late check out was requested & arranged, which also turned out not to have been arranged, and we got quite a rude call in the morning to leave the room.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Reykjavik Marina Berjaya Hotel! The location is perfect—right in the marina and close to the heart of the city, making it incredibly convenient to explore Reykjavik’s top attractions. The hotel itself is modern, comfortable, and offers fantastic value for money. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is their exceptional service. I had to checkout really early in the morning to catch a flight to Greenland and accidentally left my tablet in my room. To my positive surprise, the staff went above and beyond to assist me. They promptly located it and arranged to send it back to me, which was a huge relief! This wouldn’t have happened in many other places and I hope the staff knows that, when doing that, they’re actually giving guests a very premium service. Reykjavik Marina Berlanja Hotel combines comfort, convenience, and outstanding hospitality. I can’t recommend it enough—definitely 5 stars!
