Greeted by a charming man at reception who gave me room on the lowest level possible as he could see me struggling with the stairs. I use a walking stick. The room was a perfect size for me. Everything spotlessly clean. Very good shower. Warm room, with push button radiator if needed. Good storage space. As a lone female traveller I felt safe. The 24 hour reception helped with that. The location was perfect for me. It took me about 15 minutes to walk from hotel to train station...so half that for anyone else! There is a bus stop right outside the hotel too.The New Theatre, where I was attending an event, is opposite the hotel. There are plenty of places to eat and to go out for an evening all around. I would definitely stay here again.

I would have liked a plug socket next to the bed, but not a big problem. The entrance to the hotel doesn't look inviting and there is a staircase to negotiate to get to the reception area, so not a suitable place for anyone with a mobility problem. However I feel sure that the hotel would help if possible and it does say that there is no lift available.

Very central location which was easily walkable from the station. Close to sightseeing and shops with a variety of restaurants coffee shops and pubs within minutes of hotel. Was able to leave luggage in reception before checkin and after checkout. Room was clean, beds comfortable and water hot with tea & coffee making available. If I was to return to Oxford would have no hesitation in booking again.

Good value for money and great location. Right in the center of Oxford, close to many nice restaurants and bars and walking distance from the station. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which is always a big bonus. The accommodation met our needs, clean with fresh towels provided every day. Would highly recommend and perfect for a weekend break

There was nothing not,to like. Perhaps a small fridge would have been good.

Well priced budget accommodation in the heart of central Oxford. Walking distance to bars and restaurants and all the things to see and do in the city of Oxford. Toiletries, iron and hairdryer, as well as complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits with kettle all in the room.

Decor very dated, and tatty in parts, but for the price paid, not unexpected

Room well equipped. Location - right in the middle of oxford which is a very busy town, yet i didnt experience any road noise in the room. Fairly clean - shower uninspiring and fairly basic but all in all a decent, friendly place to stay. Could do with better provision for an early drop off box for keys. A hook on the outside of the door could be open to all kinds of abuse by other guests.

Comfortable and central. Rooms were very clean and beds comfortable. The hallways/front door were a bit dirty, could use a good scrub for sure. The room itself was spotless and comfortable. Tea and coffee in the room and staff was very kind and welcoming. Windows closed for excellent sound dampening. Very central, great with kids. Would absolutely book again!

The location is just perfect, you cannot get more central than that. The staff were fabulous, super nice, friendly, and helpful. The room was on the small side, but clean. The window had a double crystal, and there has a bit of humidity, but if you have been to the UK you know this is a common problem. The issue was solved with the heater, which worked really well. They don't serve breakfast, but this is Oxford; there is a Tesco and a Sainsbury around the corner and lots of breakfast places all over.

There is no lift, so anyone with mobility issues should stay in another hotel.

The room was clean, warm and comfortable. Powerful shower (rare in Oxford from my experience!) and good WiFi. I asked for a little privacy one morning as I had a video conference and the staff obliged my hand made note on the door asking for it. My dealings with the staff were friendly. Great budget-friendly place to stay, in a great location. I travelled for work, and would happily stay here again.

Staff were lovely, both friendly and helpful, room was comfortable and clean , and the real winner was it's vitually opposite the Oxford New Theatre( where we were going to that evening), surrounded by plenty of great restaurants ,check out Rosa Thai next door, and right near all the major tourist attractions, definitley staying there again!

Very well situated. We had tickets for the theatre which was opposite the hotel. Perfect. Clean and tidy. The man behind the reception desk was polite and very helpful. Thank you.

As it was on a main street and our room was at the front, it was a bit noisy at night with the window open (the weather was very hot). But the location out weighed any noise!
