Wow! We loved our short stay here! It far exceeded our expectations! The place was so clean, comfortable, and breakfast was more than expected!
We stayed on the main floor and the ‘adult children’ upstairs were soooo loud! The floors creak, but when you jump up and down on the 2nd floor for some unknown reason 😳, the noise is awful! Those same ‘adult children’ went in and out the front entrance and left the main door open several times! I woke up due to the winds blowing in and closed the front door. They must need to travel with their momma!!!

Loved the hospitality, although a little tough to figure out how to get into the building. I did read other reviews on the same issue, having to text on arrival, but they were super quick to respond. The amenities available on site were extremely charming. grounds were beautiful. Lots of great food available. Coming in after a long day, to find 3 layer chocolate cake waiting at midnight was super charming. Breakfast had a great variety, variety of coffee types, tea and snacks throughout the day if you were there during that time, and treats at night. And EPIC photos of the area!!
I would have preferred a room with a view other than the parking lot, but I guess someone has to stay there. There was not a cooling unit or fan in the room, which was extremely hot and stuffy and smelled like sulphur. Although the sulphur smell from the geothermal areas was strong, it is definitely a smell you have to get used to. It wasn't terrible by any means, but it was definitely noticeable.

Right off the Ring Road which was so convenient and just a breathtakingly beautiful location. Remote, rustic, gorgeous, ocean, mountains...super quiet and peaceful. Huge log cabin. We stayed upstairs in the family room with private bath and 4 twins. Comfortable and quiet and had a little balcony which was nice. We did have to air it out a bit upon arrival.
We didn't receive any communication with the host prior to our arrival, which made me nervous. We had no idea which room we were in or how to get into it. There was a phone in the lobby and luckily someone answered and gave us directions to get into our room. If we had arrived after hours (9:00pm), I don't know what we would have done. I wish there had been a kitchen that you could cook in - there were really no amenities other than a coffee machine (which made great espresso!) Luckily we had stopped in Vik on our way there and had some provisions.

The location of Welcome Lambafell is breathtaking next to a mountain and set back away from the road. The beautiful log cabin was clean and quiet. Our room had comfortable beds and the breakfast offered something for everyone.
Unfortunately, we couldn't figure out how to get the hot tub to turn on. We tried emailing the staff without a reply.

They listened to previous reviews, there was a microwave and large fridge for storing food. We had the lodge to ourselves in the evening as other guests arrived late. The breakfast selection was fantastic, despite there only being a few people staying there was an abundance of food and beverages. TV in the room had Netflix on it and the hot tub has great views of the surrounding mountains
Rooms are basic but I think this is standard for Iceland

The hotel was incredibly inviting and clean. It is situated just at the base of a beautiful mountain, and the balcony off our room gave us a gorgeous view of the surrounding landscape. The room itself was extremely comfortable - extra blankets and pillows for everyone, a mini-fridge for our food supplies, and plenty of space. Breakfast was great as well - the staff was very helpful and attentive. We especially appreciated the contactless checkin/checkout process. We ended up stranded at the hotel for one day of our stay due to dangerous weather conditions, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to hunker down. We even got some use out of the hottub before the storm rolled in! All in all, we had a fantastic time at Welcome Lambafell and would definitely book again!
No notes - it was a wonderful stay!

Due to road closures we had to frantically book two hotel rooms somewhere on road 1 at the last minute. Lambafell was available and I booked it without reading reviews. The place was phenomenal. Rooms were spacious enough (we had two twin beds pushed together, what we asked for), the bathroom was spacious, the shower was great. Check-in was simple (I had received the codes for the key lock boxes via e-mail). Everything was clean. The continental breakfast had a decent selection of food available. The hot tub was right outside our room (we had a door leading to it, actually) and while that could be a downfall if guests are rude, we had no issues and definitely enjoyed seeing the stars and the Northern Lights from the warmth of a hot tub. There are two amazing waterfalls nearby. I wish we had stayed here a few days prior, we stayed somewhere nearby but nowhere near as nice.
I don't think I disliked anything about this place. Everything was great. I would definitely stay here again.

the breakfast was amazing. there is a parking lot in front of the hotel. there is a hot tube available for the guests.
i have found some difficulties to get the keys from my room. there is no tv set on the room. there is no restaurant on the hotel. it is quite distant from restaurant or gas stations.

Breakfast was very good every morning . The location is lovely.
Check in was a little difficult . There was a young girl running it , but she was difficult to locate & busy doing her own thing. I rang two mobile numbers , one was busy and the other left me hanging on the line . The first night we were kept awake until 3am by a very noisy group . The following night was great.

The family room was amazing! Great view, loved that the windows opened and there was lots of space. Breakfast was goo, when you are there more than 2 nights it would be nice to have a bit of variety.
There was an odd smell in the bathroom when it wasn't used for a while. It would be great to have some bag racks or shelves to put bags/luggage on instead of the floor. The hot tub was warm...not hot.
