Everything exceeds expectation! This is a friendly and cozy hotel. Every staff in the hotel is very very nice and supportive. The room enjoys peaceful lake view. I will definitely come back again!

The warm welcome by the bar/reception. I learned that this place was a shooting range before and is now converted to a Lodge. The common areas still show the history of the place which is positive (but also negative, see below). The staff/team is very close and the host was able to get a chef back into the kitchen after hours to make us a lunch pack for the next day. What a service!

The rooms have been renovated and are fine. But the other areas, bar, entrance, meeting rooms, etc. need a 'fresh-up'. We have booked months in advance and the prices were already high. Must be related to the location because if it is just for the rooms then its a little on the high side.

On the positive side the staff were really nice and welcoming, the food was lovely and the location of the property is wonderful.

The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable, there was an extra door behind which there was what sounded like a boiler which droned on for several minutes every time someone somewhere ran the hot water. The shower head flopped to the extent that it was impossible to have a shower without holding the head. The shower tray quickly filled with water so that I had to cut short my shower to prevent it from overflowing. The room was so hot it was difficult to sleep. Disappointed because the room looked beautiful.

We needed a place to stay with parking outside the Isle of Skye on our way to Fort William. This gave us an extra day on the Isle. Referring to Kintail as a lodge is a bit of a stretch by Canadian standards. But, it was comfortable and it has some nice views. We were roomed in the attic of the original building (there's an expansion), as I would describe it, but our room(s) was huge, with a massive bathroom! They seemed to be a bit understaffed but worked their butts off in the bar. Supper was delicious, which is good because there's really nowhere else to go. Parking is a bit ramshackle. The instructions were to "park anywhere". Breakfast was served hot and quick. Coffee was great.

We found it a bit expensive for what you get, but the location made it worthwhile. There weren't many options nearby. Nothing really bad to say.

Location was perfect for us on our NC500 Motorbike tour. Staff were all very friendly and attentive. Hotel was overall very welcoming. Room was spacious and well equipped. Food was on the whole excellent. Breakfast gets a special shout out! Not an overwhelming portion for a full fry up, just spot on!

Bathrooms in rooms all looked a little tired. Room 7's toilet sounds like a ship sinking when you flush it! Looked like we were in an older style room, appears there were perhaps newer rooms and an upgrade programme going on.

Our room and bathroom were spacious and clean and the staff we met was nice. The breakfast room had a nice lake view.

The beds and armchairs were wobbly, I really worried the bed would break in the night under my weight. The shower faucet handle was super hard to turn. The door lock didn't work properly which is probably why the hotel employee also didn't lock our room after doing our beds. We found the room unlocked when we came back in the evening. The room could definitely use some maintenance. Our room had direct view of the parking lot... So the parking lot had a direct view into our room. Not the best experience.

Staff very friendly and accommodating! We arrived to check in and hadn’t booked for dinner…restaurant was completely full but luckily a cancellation came through shortly after we arrived and manager came up to our room to let us know - so nice of them to accommodate us as there isn’t much else around without a drive somewhere. Breakfast is amazing!!!

Room above us must have had faulty pipes as every time loo flushed there was a terrible noise in the pipes…appreciate it’s an older property and didn’t spoil our stay. Smart TVs in all rooms would be good at the moment you have to pay for superior room to get one…our room was lovely but smart tv would have been nice

Extra large beds. Very large room. Good location at seaside. Food in the restaurant was very good. Very friendly staff both in the reception and the restaurant. Fast Wi-Fi.

The restaurant is also a pub and if you're seated close to the bar, then there is a lot of noise which is irritating (tables further away might be better). The breakfast has a lot of selections, unfortunately the salmon was not of good quality neither was the porridge.

Location fabulous, restaurant food was excellent & service was great in the evening by bar staff and restaurant staff.

Breakfast was a disappointment compared to evening meal. Tea urn ran out of water, had to ask them to fill it, it then took so long to heat up we left. Not able to have porridge served before cooked breakfast, can only be served at the same time! We where told Chef doesn’t like to serve hot porridge and then 10 minutes later a cooked breakfast. Miserable stern staff serving breakfast, compared to the lovely evening staff.

I had a medical episode whilst staying at the hotel - the staff without exception went well above and beyond what you would hope for and I'm very grateful for their friendliness, kindness, flexibility and help. Becoming unwell miles from home in The Highlands was a frightening experience but I was reassured I would be looked after as if at home. Glenn in particular, mainly in his own time, helped me to recover enough so I could safely return home for which I am very grateful. The food was excellent, the recent refurbishment looks great, the lochside location and views are stunning, but it is the staff that make the place. 100% recommended.

Nothing.
