Clean, comfortable room, spacious. Nice bath with good hot water. Quiet location. Breakfast foods were delicious. You can walk to the Eilean Donan Castle from this location to capture some beautiful early evening pictures. We enjoyed the pub and music next door. Few restaurants in the area so you need to get to the The Clachian Pub early to get a table. Restaurant closes at 9:00 and music begins at 10:00. Pub gets extremely crowded for the music.

Lots of steps and no elevator.

Every staff member we spoke to was so pleasant, kind, and welcoming. The rooms were charming and comfortable. The location and view from the front of the hotel was so lovely. We wanted to stay longer! And if I was back in the area, I would stay again in a heartbeat. The breakfast was fantastic as well--made to order!

The only thing we didn't like was that the shower/toilet was not ensuite. To have to leave our bedroom to use the toilet is not the nicest. Nevertheless, the toilet/shower were spotless and nice.

Very friendly and helpful staff! We arrived after a very long drive and they straight away got us a table for dinner in the pub despite it being really busy. The room was lovely and clean and the bed was so comfortable. We were staying for a wedding at Dornie Castle so the location for us was perfect. It’s situated in such a lovely setting with stunning views all around. We will 100% be coming back to stay here again!

The only thing that comes to mind is that the guy that runs the hotel and all the pubs in the area was quite rude to our group of friends that were drinking in the pub just next to where we were staying. All of the rest of the staff were absolutely lovely though!

We chose The Dornie for its easy access to the Isle of Skye. We stayed in room 5, which is actually two separate bedrooms with a shared shower, making it perfect for a family. Room 5 has recently been redecorated and was very nice. The photos don't do it justice. Breakfast slots are prebooked and breakfast is freshly cooked when you arrive. The staff are very friendly!

I would probably comment on the prices if our room wasn't so nice

Fantastic little town. Breathtaking views! Pub next door, food and vibe the best. The rooms were comfortable and spacious.

We booked the family room which ended up being a bit different. It was set up to accommodate a larger family than 3. There were 3 separate rooms and access to a bathroom outside of the rooms. To use the bathroom you needed to leave the room and walk across the landing to get to it. If there were no other rooms in this hall it might have been okay but when you wonder out first thing in the morning barely awake not quite in your evening attire and there are people lounging around reading in the landing it is a little uncomfortable weird.

Excellent location close to Skye Bridge and Eilean Donan Castle at walking distance. Food was quite good, anyway not much choice in the area. Room was quiet, reachable by multiple stairs up and down. Nice bathroom with hot shower.

Hotel is quite worn out, room's door was not fitting, no TV in the rooms, locked wi-fi with poor bandwith, breakfast service was not made with customer's spirit, no smile, no welcome. Very expensive for the quality.

The hotel is located in a quaint little village near the castle. It worked out perfectly on our way from the Isle of Skye as a stopover for the next day. We had dinner at the little pub called the Clachan which is located next door and the breakfast in the morning at the hotel was excellent. Not the usual continental breakfasts at the name brand hotels but a sit down full breakfast served in their dining room.

The hotel is definitely not the most up to date facility but was very clean and comfortable. Would stay again if it was on our travel route!

Great wee hotel in an excellent location. For those unaware, Dornie is the village which sits across from Eilean Donan castle which is probably Scotland's most photographed castle. Take a wee walk up Carr Brae for a beautiful elevated view of the castle and it's island. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly, the choice of breakfasts was very good. The haggis was particularly good, being Scottish I've had a lot of haggis and this rates up there with the best. The hotel weren't offering evening meals during our stay but were going to do so shortly after we left. The Clachan pub which is very close by do excellent meals, booking recommended as it gets busy. Great atmosphere in the pub with visitors and locals mixing.

Can't say there was anything we didn't like. Our room didn't have a TV, not a concern for us but it may be to others.

Breakfast was convenient. The choice of menu was satisfactory. The service was excellent. We had a comfortable table. There was no rush. On both days of our stay, we were delighted with breakfast.

It didn't affect us but we noticed that juice and coffee had run out. The staff didn't come to check. We had finished our breakfast but noticed other residents looking for juice and coffee.

Value for money, the family room was actually 3 separate rooms, for us a family of 4 adults, it was perfect. The beds were comfortable and the shower had plenty of hot water with high pressure flow. Breakfast was delicious, lots of options to choose from including vegan options. The scrambled eggs were very fluffy and the smoked salmon melt in the mouth.

The girls serving us at breakfast could have smiled a bit more 😁
