The location was great- away from the busy noisy area, but still close enough to be convenient. The 2 small cottages are perfectly laid out and surrounded by nature to optimize privacy. The room was shiny spotless clean on arrival and the shower had ample hot water with good pressure. It was so very nice to be served breakfast outside on the small patio and the small private pool was very refreshing after a hot climb of the rock in the morning. Amith the host was always smiling and was very helpful.

The owner and his wife are very friendly. The room and the (new) pool were very clean. Breakfast was tasty and always came with a full platter of fresh fruit. The owner helped us find transport and cleaned the pool at least twice a day. The wifi was good, airconditioning worked beautifully as well, sometimes there were power outages, but this is due to the region and not to the location as we also had this several times when going out for dinner to a restaurant in the center of Sigirya. We loved our stay here and recommend it to others.

Lush garden setting and bird song to wake up to sets the tone. Breakfast delivered to your private porch each morning. Pancakes and large fruit plate are the highlights. Room is comfortable and clean. A little way out of town, so nice and quiet. Amidh the owner is very friendly and responsive. All in all , great value for money.

A bit picky, but for a four night stay, it would have been nice to have a change of towels.

Great place to stay! Sunrise Cottage is beautifully located, surrounded by big green plants and only a short Tuk Tuk ride away to start hiking on the Lion's Rock. Restaurants etc. are in walking distance. The host is super attentative and nice and helps with whatever you need. He gave us tips, offered rides and organized a driver to our next destination. Also, he provided a great breakfast every morning. Thank you for the stay!

Enjoyed a peaceful stay in a room in Sigiriya. The host was exceptionally friendly, adding a warm touch. Located a bit remote amidst fields, the tuk-tuk ride was a bit rough but manageable. The room was a 20-minute walk from the main road and ATMs, offering a quiet escape. Just 4 minutes away, a different area with many restaurants offers great dining options. The room itself was clean and comfortable, perfect for a tranquil retreat.

We’re a young german couple and we stayed here for four nights. This place was amazing. The friendly host helped us with everything we needed, whether it was means of transportation, breakfast, tips, or giving us a ride on his own tuktuk. It was so cool to have our own pool, the room had a mosquito net and everything else that is needed. It was clean and we would highly recommend this place, we even witnessed some animals crossing by

Apartmant was a great spot inside the jungle not so far from centre of Sigiriya and the rock itself. It has all the necessary modern facilities with high cleanness. But the most amazing part is the host itself. He is the kindest person in Sigiriya, always helped us and reacted immediatelly for all wishes. Breakfast and dinner were great (you can ask dinner additionally). He has a tuktuk so he can drop you everywhere you wish and just type him and picks up you also. He likes to know foreign people and culture so we could talk a lot (and tried local beverages from our country, Hungary).

Nothing, everything was perfect.

Ahmid was a very friendly and helpful person who always had a smile. The breakfast was great, made fresh just the way we wanted by the host family. Ahmid was always ready to help plan day trips and arrange transportation. The location itself gave a sense of being in the jungle, adding to the unique experience. Would always book it again.

Everything was great.

Great cottage in a colourful garden. You will rise with the sound of birds and the beautiful sunrise. The cottage has a great brand new pool, perfect for cooling of after long hikes or a safari. Host Amid is really helpful and friendly and goes out of his way to make the stay as comfortable as possible. He took us to a beautiful viewing point with his tuktuk. The cottage is conveniently located close to both rocks and some good restaurant (we especially liked Mili's). All in all a great place to stay on your trip to Sigiriya.

We had a fantastic stay; the host was always on hand to help us with anything we needed and gave us good recommendations, including organising a TukTuk ride for us to Pidurangala Rock at sunrise! He and his whole family were very friendly and made us feel very welcome! The breakfast was very nice, the room was extremely clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable! We would definitely recommend staying here. WiFi was also very quick!
